On my birthday last week, Dark Souls 3 Deluxe was coincidentally on sale for $23, so I had to pick it up. Needless to say I enjoyed the heck out of it so much that I blew through it this past week. Killed the Soul of Cinder yesterday and achieved the End of Fire ending. Went to Dragon Aerie to kill the Wyvern and Nameless King today. The only base boss I haven’t beaten yet is the Old Demon King.
Unlike the previous games, I plan on doing a bit of the DLC to see how the trilogy left off. I kinda wanna do Ringed City first because it has that cool Darksign Armor, but I think I should do Ariandel first because I accessed it first on accident.
Out of the 3 games, I can’t tell which is my favorite, but I can say that Dark Souls 1 has my favorite lore and area visuals, Dark Souls 2 has my favorite characters and general areas and Dark Souls 3 has my favorite bosses, my personal favorite being Soul of Cinder.
Anyway, I really enjoyed the trilogy. I can see why it’s considered one of the best video game series ever. Once I finish/get bored with the DLC, I’ll move onto Sekiro (depending on how long it takes to get it. If it takes too long, I’ll just wait until Elden Ring.)

Definitely do Ashes of Ariandel first; both DLC are actually part of a storyline. If you skip to Ringed City, you’re skipping important story stuffs. You should go back & play DaSII’s DLC, too. For the most part, they’re really good (barring the “free multiplayer” sections). Granted, they also get a lot of hate, so I might be in the minority with that opinion.
