I have a steam account, and cannot connect it to my Bungie account, because it shows one already connected. However that one does not appear to be mine. I have checked every email address I use, and can find no record of the account, but it is linked to my Bungie account. I do not recall creating an account for it or connecting it to mine. I know the Steam ID and display name and that is about it. I cannot remove it because I need to be able to authenticate it first.
Can't seem to get any help from steam support on this and I can't find a way to send a ticket to bungie for help. The added fun is that I think it is a fraudulent account, because my username is IAmButchFlowers, but the connected one is lAmButchFlowers. Can't spot the difference? It's because it is an L for the lead letter. like somebody parked and forgot or something.
The account has no activity on it, no purchases, I just want to be able to maybe play on PC sometimes with the characters I've used for six years now.

Edited by TuxyDoh: 7/31/2021 10:13:13 PMIn order to unlink an account, you must be able to authenticate it, which means you must be able to log into it. Bungie cannot forcibly de-link it. I would suggest contacting the platform concerning recovering the platform account. If you are unable to gain access to your account, then you will not be able to unlink it from your current Bungie.net profile

I'm guessing you paid for a recovery at one point didn't you?
