What if they bring Cayde-6 back tho?
So me and my friend had a thought. So, Cayde's body went to the traveler right, His sould must have too. So what if Bungie made a DLC where you go to the traveler and get caydes soul and body back right. Or they could at least use his sould to make a hologram of him. Couse really we all want Cayde back. And I mean if Bungie made a DLC like that so many people want Cayde back so they would make so much money off of that DLC. Just a though though becasue we all want Cayde back.

We might be able to bring cayde back if we use the bray tech memory bank and we could find his memories and put him in an exo body.

I don't know why his soul would go to the Traveler either; if anything, Sundance would made more sense considering she was born from the Traveler itself. If it did, we would be doing this with every single Guardian that has ever permadied if we weren't already. Heck, Omar could've had a new body this way. This DLC would also invalidate almost all of the Forsaken storyline, and we don't need (more) large retcons in the game. I don't want Cayde back because not only would it invalidate Forsaken, but I rather not have Bungie repeat the clownish act that he's shown throughout the Red War and during Last Call as it felt like he was trying to be funny just for the sake of it.

Cayde is gone. 1. He did not go to the Traveler he got a standard burial. 2. He would need a new body but no one can build a exo now. Only a ghost can look after a exo body. 3. His mind is gone. If you did find a master copy it would be Cayde from before the Collapse not the Cayde we knew. 4. He would not be a Guardian as he would not have a ghost.

1 ReplyHe had a great ending. I know he was a fan favorite character but even good things need to come to an end. If Cayde ever came back it wouldn't be the Cayde you knew. Honestly based off lore we do have, if Cayde came back he'd probably be evil. He's a Shadow of Calus in the Opulent Scholar Bond lore text when you go to the database of exo memories your ghost tells you that Cayde's backup is there but we need to let him rest cause it's what he would have wanted plus he wouldn't be the same. Granted, you can't take Calus' AO3 account seriously, but my point is he wont come back... At least not him as in the Cayde we knew.

Unless they waved a few million bucks infront of Nathan fillion then he won’t be coming back any time soon…as a fellow Canuck I’d like to see cayde return in some useful form.

It’s possible, but I don’t think he would come back to be the way he was before. It would probably be a dark Cyade, corrupted by Savathun or the Doritos. He would not be the same as he was, and I don’t think people would like that

Plenty to go on as far as what an exo is, he could come back with a reboot, but he may want to move on more than repeat his sorrow of a child he can acknowledge yet can't comprehend. Would you want make him suffer that again? Let Cayde, in any capacity, be at peace. It's cool to want him back, but don't torture the guy...maybe he's in the life before with Ace, you take that away from him, you create an enemy more than likely. Also, unless we figure out how these powers are developed, he won't have them unless a ghost rezz's him.
