Part of my “What If” series. If you know the drill, then great. If you don’t, here it is: I’m changing stories in Destiny so that they play out differently (similar to the show Marvel is coming out with)
“I was finally here about to get my revenge. All that stood between me and Uldren was the Taken Servitor looking thing that ate him. I never really know what it is I am fighting. All I’m told to do is kill the bad guys trying to destroy the universe. You know, typical hero work. Anyways, I really hoped that the Meatball (as I deemed it) didn’t finish Uldren off. That was my job”
“After an intense fight in and out of the Acendent Plane (I knew the Meatball was something powerful. It’s not every day Taken “take” [no pun intended] you into the Plane), I finally finished off the Meatball. Finally, I had Uldren right where I wanted him; behind the barrel of Ace. He starts going on about something (I honestly wasn’t paying attention. All I wanted to do was avenge Cayde) as Petra walked in. I knew she also wanted to get revenge (I suspect she had a little crush on Cayde), so she pulled out her familiar sidearm. As I turned back to Uldren, he said something that quite honestly shook me. ‘The line between Light and Dark is so very thin. Do you know which side you stand on?’ I lowered Ace a bit as I contemplated this saying. I knew he was right. I was a Guardian, not a murderer. I told my Ghost to ready the ship. Petra seemed confused, so I told her that I planned on taking Uldren back to the Tower. She didn’t seem to like that idea and stormed out of the room. Uldren looked rather surprised. I knew that it really wasn’t his fault and that he was just being corrupted by the Darkness.”
“I then informed the Vanguard (or those left of the Vanguard) that I had captured Uldren. I told them to meet me in Zavala’s office. The walk through the Tower and to Big Z’s office was filled with people giving Uldren and even me dirty looks. I even saw a few Guardians pull out their weapons. During the meeting, Ikora seemed pissed and Zavala seemed calm. I knew it was his “stoic leader” face and that he was hiding the pain deep inside of him. We decided that since it was an unknown force controlling Uldren, he wouldn’t be executed or put in jail. It was a 2 to 1 vote to have him banished from the City. The last thing Zavala ever said to him was ‘Go, get out of the City. I don’t ever want to see your face again. I can’t promise you protection, so you’re on your own. Now leave.”

This is very good! Keep up the great work man!

I thought you were going to complain about getting mercy in PvP.

Diggity dang. I love this series you’ve done

This is a good one.
I half expected Zavala to execute him himself.
this would have huge effects on the story, there would be no crow, and zavala would die if not for crow saving him. very cool dude, would you consider turning this what if into a full series?
