Edit: I am NOT in favor of sunsetting.
I’m just stating that this is a product of it not being a thing. The world pool will continue to grow and it’s either take weapons out of the loot pool, or let us focus focus towards specific gear. Otherwise it just becomes this massive pool with less and less chance to focus towards older gear that players may still to have gotten the roll they wanted on. I can think of two weapons I want rolls o that I have never gotten yet and they haven’t dropped once this season yet.
I figured this would be a product of no sunsetting. I think we need more dedicated sources for focusing loot. More options in the recaster would be nice. Maybe based on specific weapon types instead of just one massive pool of world weapons engram. Hand canon focus, scout focus, SMG focus, etc. There are a few world weapons I’d like to get specific rolls on for the sake of endgame content and I never got the rolls I wanted and now it just seems hopeless because I haven’t seen two of them drop this season even once yet. I’d be playing right now if I could point myself in the direction of farming them, but I can’t.

The world loot pool is just saturated with pure junk!
-
I just want a clear answer of what drops from who.
-
The world loot pool getting bigger is a good imo
-
I don't think that's an issue. The issue is; I still have weapons in my vault that are more fun and powerful than anything Bungie has put out in years!!! Everything is always an insta-shard! A loot based game with no (worthwhile) loot... great!

Or maybe delete world loot pool and covert it to umbrals that can be focused into other things. We also need to delete prime engrams and make prime umbrals or shoot helm out of sky so there’s only 1 social area needed to clean up the 10 slots engrams occupy. Bungie has decided generic legendary drops, primes, umbrals, focused umbrals, exotics, adept mods, and even eververse engrams must touch these 10 slots to open even if they auto-decrypt like half of those things do.
-
Itd be cool if they started throwing some of the newer weapons into strikes and getting rid of the sunset weapons that occasionally drop from them. Like as much as i love a sunset wardens law dropping every time this nightfall is up it seems like an easy way to get some new loot
-
20k shards later and I got like 3 of the weapon that I wanted. All bad rolls
-
Need to be able to target the loot you want. Like in monster hunter.
-
There are umbral engrams for a reason....
-
Why not just have the world pool rotate every season or every three weeks.
-
I actually like the idea of loot pools being large because I don't really care about chasing certain perks or god rolls,I wish all loot pools were larger.
-
I’m fine with it,the more drop the more legendary shard for me 😬
-
The loot pool needs to be organized. Certain things should only be available from vendors, world drops or Umbral engrams.
-
They should put loot pools to the master lost sectors outside of the exotics. Like have specific weapons in some of them with the exotic.
-
Tell me about it. I want a good arsenic bite plz
-
I wouldn't say it's too large, it's just there is too much junk loot that has flooded this game, and Bungie constantly reusing the same junk loot in the world pool as a filler year after year after year leaving the loot system broken.
-
The world loot pool will probably reset and change with season 16 and witch queen

Edited by TheArtist: 7/22/2021 12:11:27 PMIt isn't too large. Its just a poor design concept. The pool of weapons you can get from the Gunsmith, Zavala and Saladin suffer from the same problem. Its just one big slot machine that spits out gear with no rhyme or reason....and no ability to chase any particular weapon. Like so many of the game's reward structures, it seems the design goal was to reduce player agency, and to extend play time, rather than adaquately rewarding player investment.

Ok Luke, nice try.
-
exactly why sunsetting was a thing. to stop this.
-
I miss menagerie.
-
It’s not too big. It just needs agency.
-
Not too large, just mind numbingly stale, like the entire game
-
Add back strike weapons and keep the nightfall weapons. Then add more weapons to each vendor. Anything remaining should be rotated throughout the season in bigger groupings. Such as breaking a season into 3 part rotation and each part only rewarding a set list of weapons during the season so you have a month or two to grind each listing. This way weapons aren't gone forever and new players can still obtain all weapons.
-
Yes I agree, I spent all my gunsmith materials trying to get a seraph hand cannon but didn’t even get a single one, I’ve not checked yet but can you focus engrams for seraph weapons?
