"Refractory Warrior" Triumph is way too grindy
Just reached the 3rd step of the "Refractory Warrior" triumph of Solstice of Heroes and noticed that we need to kill 60 more bosses (apart from the previous 40). This is bad enough, until you notice that this only counts on PRISM day.
How is this reasonable? This will take hours upon hours in very specific days.
Edit: Thank you to all that pointed out that the Taken bosses also count. This helps alot, inded. However, the "only on PRISM days" argument still holds and maybe should be reconsidered by Bungie.

Do what i do and don't even bother with this grindfest event where only the good loot is locked behind a paywall in the cashshop, a cashshop that sells cosmetics to literally "fund" these "free" events.

12 RepliesSo it's 100 bosses total? I'm still on the 40. It honestly feels like a mistake and Bungie wanted to include the minibosses as well. On a regular run I get three to four bosses (depending on the final boss), I guess I need to up my grind game.

Hell i still dont even know what prism day is and i didnt care enough to look it up. That vagueness alone for clueless players like me is enough to call bs on it.

Why are these things even in the game? What's the point, neither fun nor challenging. Just putting crap in the game for the sake of putting it in there instead of making engaging fun content. I can't even bring myself to do the pinnacles for this event, it's sooooooo boring! Can't imagine doing this for a triumph.

Don’t do it, have some respect for yourself and your time. It’s just another number in a triumphs tally that’s meaningless. I myself love to complete triumphs, but when trying to complete one starts to become way to grindy I just skip.

5 RepliesThe 3 taken bosses also count. If you get fallen , you only get 1 final boss Hive either single ogre or 2 witches Cabal sometimes gets 3

1 ReplyThe prismatic taken count as bosses 4 bosses per run. Just don't speed rush the boss fight, let the 3rd taken spawn.

What do you get for completing it ? ,I don't think it's to any rewards , just a completionist thing for a few triumph points I am skipping it -
Honestly, skip it? Can't be grindy if you don't do it. What's the worst that can happen if you don't do it?

All I can suggest is get comfy, put on your favorite film, program or podcast, get drunk and/or high and play in the background like I did. I definitely think minibosses ought to count. I'm also surprised the Psion engineer doesn't count as it did last year. Anyway, Bungie needs to playtest these things.

This should include mini bosses. Once you've done everything apart from this Triumph it becomes a chore. Might as well just AFK until the boss, rinse and repeat. How boring is that 🤦♂️

I’m just going to be over here sipping coffee and wondering why the hell people still do this to themselves. This “event” has always and only been the poster child for Destiny grind. This really is the true test of a Destiny player’s commitment.
