Theyve already got the ships and the sparrows. All they need now is a canyon and controls. Spaceflight racing would be great because it ties in so well with gambit and crucible. Examples of a map would be an asteroid field in the tangled shore, canyons of europa, tunnel/cave system on nessus, misty outskirts of the dreaming city, and what would be really awesome is having the option to dock at the tower (this would be controlled from settings) and would attract many more players then new seasons will. This would include stats for ships and sparrows and simply a vendor for the operation, and someone as moderately sketchy as spider of the eliksni would do perfectly. Participate in the poll if you think this is a good idea

While anything new at this point would be a welcomed addition, they just won't put the manpower in to do something like this, especially with so many other things that need fixing. I think a nice compromise for ships would be something similar to warframe. If we could walk around our ship in orbit of even just move the ship around during loading screens, then ships wouldn't be such a dud. Customizing sparrows (particle effects, separate part colors, etc...) would be cool too, but I think would again take too much manpower. I like your idea, and would love to see them implemented, but like I said before, this games basically on auto pilot with a skeleton crew. Any new addition like this just unfortunately isn't realistic.

That would be like no man's sky tho

It would be cool, as long as it wasn’t something they forced you to do for a gun quest. Objective: Destroy 50 enemy guardian ships... I don’t think so.

SRL: yes. I’m not sure about the jumpships though. It could be difficult, considering how much variety there is in jumpships. It’d be fun though.

Heck, I'd be happy with a mini game option like the gummy ship in Kingdom hearts.
