Hear me out...
Sparrow Runs/Racing.
This could be done in a dozen different ways; its own game mode, a public event, etc. Whenever I start up a Vanguard Strike, players (including myself) always boot up our sparrows right at the start and zip through the first chunk of the map until we get into combat. I think it's fun, people trying to race past, people with legendary sparrows zooming past exotic sparrows, trying to rush past obstacles.
From the people who brought us "The Warthog Run" I think it would be interesting to see some dynamic with sparrows in D2 reflect that.
You could have standard races (who gets to the finish line first, or does 3 laps around a map first)
You could have races against the clock (ie: Warthog Run)
You could also have Last Guardian Standing races where everything is trying to kill you on the map, and the last guardian wins.
Devil's advocate; "Exotic sparrows provide an unfair advantage, especially if someone isn't using a legendary or exotic sparrow." True, but I feel like that could play as both an advantage and disadvantage. On my other character I can still zip past some players on my Rare sparrow since I'm going a little slower I have more time to react to obstacles.
You could potentially also set a neutral cap on sparrows in that game mode. All sparrows share the same speed.
I see a lot of people gripe about PvP, I only really PvP on Gambit, and while I'm not the biggest racing game fan - the idea of doing a "sparrow run" while the map is exploding with several other guardians sounds pretty epic.
Also, I know I am by no means necessary the first person to think of this. I also stopped playing Xbox all together for a couple years and hopped back on this year. So maybe it was already somewhat a thing and I just missed it.
What do you think? Would you like to do a "Warthog Run" but with sparrows and several other guardians? Would you like testing out your sparrow skills on potentially new maps or old maps?

I'd love big battles like the start of the Shadowkeep campaign, but allow players to fill their Super meters twice to call in airstrikes with our ships, or ride around on our Sparrows (which should all have mounted guns of some kind, possibly huge beam cannons or special munitions for certain exotics). That would make for one heck of a Seasonal activity, or even a new Flashpoint template.
