Bungie you mentioned fixing a couple of the newer exotics. However, you neglected to state any changes to the old exotics.
There are exotics that new player won’t have, don’t have, or will never have (if they don’t play the right activity enough). And that’s fine because it makes certain ones more valuable.
Whisper of the Worm
There are several perks that regain shots on precision hits. Coupled with certain mods almost any sniper can do what the whisper can. That makes it less of an exotic.
Darci
The box breathing aspect of it can be found on other weapons. Function as the same. Almost the only thing then that makes it special is the highlighted perk in tandem of the box breathing.
Prime Perfected
I LOVE this pulse rifle in D1. Favorite weapon and used it a lot. I have ZERO reason to use it in D2. Even when it first came out. I found a couple of purple pulse rifles with the correct mods/perks that actually out perform Prime in TTD on minor enemy’s. Comparing boss damage it works better, but it’s no comparison to any special out there for any ranking enemy damage. It then falls into a bad place.
As primary the total damage on minors is comparable to several purples.
As a replacement special on majors, it drastically falls short.
This puts it an awkward place in PvE
In PvP, since the damage kicks in with its exotics perk, it wildly underperforms compared to other pulse rifles. Even blue ones!!!!
So basically my complaint is the damage of Prime. Or make it more steady at least to get those precision hits to activate the perk. Because it’s very lack luster.
