How about guarantee of Adept Weapon in Grandmaster Nightfall
After taking quite a long while to finally clear Glassway, not one person received the Plug One Adept...can Adept weapons be guaranteed for Grandmaster completions? They're guaranteed for Trials...

I would argue that Trials is much harder unless you're really good or have a streamer/friend carry you. You can only get 3 adept weapons/mods a week doing Trials of Osiris, 1 per character every week. Unless you are doing a Confidence Passage which gives you a chance at multiple Adept Weapons, which in my opinion is the hardest thing to do in the game. (A flawless ticket with no loss whatsoever just extra loot at the end). While Grandmasters should give loot even with my luck I have gotten plenty of adept weapons and mods, and there will be easier Grandmasters to farm whatever Adept weapon you want. I feel as if there is no need for a guaranteed drop everytime or else you should just be given a guaranteed reward for every activity that you play, which shouldn't be the case. Feel free to argue with me all you want but I think the current state of loot is really fair, the only argument you can really make is about the master and legendary lost sectors.

You can at least complete GMs. Many people can’t go flawless. I think the drop rate of GMs should be increased to most of the time but not all the time.

5 RepliesDrop rates are too low for a random roll weapon with high odds of getting bad perks. I did 20 legend and 4 master platinum clears over the weekend and didn't get a single nightfall weapon to drop. I'm done banging my head against this wall.

I agree. I was only able to beat glass way once this week and didn't get the plug 1. Overall I think the drop rate if the weapons are worse. Even on master I feel like they were barely dropping.

Guaranteed or not, would you even use it if you had it? At least you’re guaranteed a shard and often get exotics. I was doing GMs before adept weapons, just to see if I could. So far the only weapon I use sometimes is adept palendrome. Otherwise, I’m just saying. I do agree it should always drop.

Instead of that how about a weapon worth grinding more than once? Hung jury is just nostalgia and the fusion is hot ass. I don’t even know what the third is, don’t care. Can’t roll any good unique perks that you can’t farm somewhere Else on a better weapon.

It’s not guaranteed? Nah Bruh. Just Nah. If your going to do all that work then at least make it like it was in D1 where there’s a guaranteed Nightfall Weapon Drop if your running grand master runs.

Yes, for many people, but others farm it just like some are good enough to farm GMs. Honestly, both Flawless and GMs should guarantee an adept drop on 1st completion per character, per week. After that both modes should be random drops, though with a high drop rate. This way, those who are lucky to even get a single completion get a guaranteed drop, while those who are good enough to farm have to "work for it".

I agree and feel your pain, but I'm ok with it, because I'm only really doing these GMs for Gilded Conqueror *2 this season. I can farm for Plug in another GM. Would be great if the first completion was a guaranteed drop like others said.

4 RepliesAdept weapons are meant to be a rare drop. Gm nightfalls are also not comparable to trials by any means. One is PVE endgame, which is super easy. One is hardcore sweaty PVP which is meant to be a challenge. Way to sound entitled by the way. Bungie wants you to hate this game lol

I feel like there should be a guarantee of a drop every other run at least. They take time to do and that time should be justified. I personally haven’t done a GM yet mostly because i can’t stand Glassway but I feel like the first successful run should be a drop for sure each week then every other one is a drop.

I'm kind of surprised people are actively arguing against loot in this post. I'm not really going to talk about trials as if it's some sort of equivalent (because it's obviously not and whether it's easier or harder is purely subjective). I think it's crazy that some players here are actively arguing for reducing their chances at loot. In my mind, guaranteeing an adept for every completion helps everyone and hinders no one, so why wouldn't you want that? If you further account for the fact that you are likely chasing a specific roll for optimization, the idea that you'd want to make that grind worse blows my mind.

There's really no reason that your first clear every week shouldn't give you a guaranteed drop, other than Bungie needing to actually code it into the game.
