The following rant was recorded when his ghost asked him the last time he went on a raid. [OPEN TRANSMISSION FROM: VINCENT OF GRAY] [GUARDIAN TRANSMISSION CODE: [REDACTED FROM RECORDING]] [SEEKING: FIRETEAM FOR RAID] [DESTINATION: VAULT OF GLASS ISHTAR SINK, VENUS] [VERBAL BROADCASTING: ON] Cromwell (Believed to be the name of Vincent's Ghost): "Oh my, when was the last time we have been on a raid?" Vincent: The last time we've been on a raid? I haven't done a raid in years, no, decades. The Vault of Glass, I believe, was the last place I raided. Killed Aetheon for the nth time. Oh and Crota too. It took a while to get to him. No one wanted to join me in ending him... No, now I just let the professionals deal with those major existential threats. Wait, why am I doing this? I just stick to the strikes. And the Splicer War. And occasionally the Crucible. You know, the "Weekend Warrior", the Part-timer. I take small jobs for the Vanguard, like so many others. Sure, I MAY have helped save the World a few times... but sometimes it is easier to let people that are uh, "more involved", to do the World saving. But that hasn't stopped me from being a Guardian, of course!" *Laughter* Vincent: "However, recently my glimmer and resources have been low due to those damned Vex. My aloe vera has been dying because of them! And that's not the only thing that's been dying. Gods, those Vex have been beating my ass. I used to think they were easy to kill, but with those taken assisting them, it's been hell. Some Taken Hobgoblin Snipes me from a mile away in those Expunged missions and my armor isn't even good enough to take their hits. Luckily my light is still strong enough to survive those vex realms. With the Vex back in the Vault of Glass, might as well give it a try. I mean Aetheon seems like small change after the other enemies the Vanguard has faced. I had fond memories of that place many moons ago. Traveling in and out of portals. Killing those damned Hydras. I just hope the fireteam I find is willing to work well with me. It's been such a long time since I've been to the Vault... Or perhaps, maybe Mithtax can be up to the task. Or perhaps the Spider can lend me some of his resources in exchange for a cut... A band of Eliksni Reavers to crack into that Vault instead is starting to sound like a much better idea..." Vincent: "Cromwell!" Cromwell: "Yes, Vincent?"
