Might as well make more of these posts to keep track of my progress.
So, I managed to get past Sen’s Fortress and defeat the Golem after a couple of tries. The area itself is more frustrating than the boss. Ended up in Anor Londo after being kidnapped by those monkey demons from Wizard of Oz and thought to myself, “Hey, this place looks like it’ll be challenging. Might as well go back and see if there’s anything else I can do.”
Went back to the lower area of Undead Burg because somehow I missed it the first time. Fought through the zombie dogs and the Hollow gangsters and found my way to the Capra Demon. I heard some negative things about that boss, but I guess that’s because those people went to it early. I, on the other hand, have had little trouble with it since I can kill the dogs in one hit and the boss itself in a small amount of time. I almost died, but still completed it on my first try.
Then it was time to go down to the Depths after meeting the drug dealing lady who sells moss. There, I found more zombie dogs, sludge monsters that look like they’re from a 90’s horror movie with bad cgi, and a butcher that was in serious violation of several health regulations. The area itself was pretty easy, but it was extremely confusing to navigate through with all of the pits and doors.
After spending 20 minutes trying to find the bonfire, I went on to the obvious boss arena and fought the Gaping Dragon. My dad was watching and he said, “You better hope that the animators have a stroke before that thing can kill you.” Being something of an animator myself, I completely saw his point. Once I found out that attacking from the side is a death wish, the rest of the fight was easy as well. It just wandered around as I used the power of social distancing and plenty of crossbow bolts.
I looked up how I could use the Soul of Quelaag (no, I’m not sorry. I would’ve never known how to do it on my own.) and I found out that the Ember I found can help me make another curved sword with it. So, after upgrading my stuff a bit with Andre, my next objective is to go back to Anor Londo and see what’s in store.
Wish me luck.

Good luck! Fun fact, Gaping Dragon's head counts as a critical hit location. Baiting his charge and whacking the small head deals tons of damage. He's also one of the enemies who's tail you can cut, of which all of them are draconic in some fashion, or have a prominent tail.
