Hey recently Destiny 2 has been crashing and freezing constantly after a couple of updates ago.. here’s a temporary fix I personally use to avoid crashing.
1) Don’t put your PS5 into rest mode.
2) Don’t suspend the game by putting your PS5 into rest mode while the game is running in the background.
These two what actually cause the crash or sometimes the game crashes after booting the console normally.
Now here’s some stuff to help you fix the crashing:
1) If the game crashed once.. just setup a new internet connection even if it was the same connection this will definitely fix it.
How?.. go to Console settings> network> settings>
set up a new connection> choose “Set up a wired LAN” if you’re using a cable and just connect and delete your old “Registered network”.
If you’re using a WIFI connection just select your desired network and connect normally and delete your previous “Registered network”.
2) Avoid doing a network test in the middle of the play session because that will boot you back to the title screen and you’ll get “Attention contacting Destiny servers” over and over again.
I hope I helped you with this and if the problem happened again just follow the previous steps until Bungie comes out with a permanent fix with an update.
