Hey Bungie, what happened to:
* Recycling old adventures through the Vanguard playlist? (Legendary Lost Sectors are not “Adventures”)
* Being able to do Strikes, Nightfalls, and Battlegrounds without mandatory matchmaking?
* Being able to play a campaign more than once? (Do players own New Light, or just lease a single play-through??)
Lone Wolves like to enjoy the work you’ve put into creating beautiful settings and gameplay, Bungie—not being forcibly matched to so many who almost invariably treat the Strike, Battleground, or Nightfall as a chore to rush through for loot (get a life!). We’re into strategy and tactics. We like being overmatched.
Each season there is less for Lone Wolves to do. We’re not into massive activities. We like the lone or the one-buddy challenge.
This season I didn’t buy the pass. Why bother? Nothing for Lone Wolves to do. You’re gonna lose us Bungie. We’ll move on …

They have never been friendly to solo players. They just don't give a shit. Never has.. they just keep saying we are playing the game wrong. And clans, give me a break.
-
Bungie hates solo players, they don't encourage friends to buy into the madness.
-
They want you to sucker other poor souls into the game so they can purchase crap in Eververse.
-
I think the story mission are rather dull. Nothing really happens. You go somewhere, kill shit, all the while ghost keeps monologueing about something. Nothing cinematic happens, no big events anywhere that give that wow factor to it. Im just glad im not a solo player, because that would burn me out really fast.

u can play solo everything

The way I see it is that many solo players are acceptable losses for a business strategy. The aim is to make life as difficult or unrewarding as possible, sufficient that you'll either be pushed into bringing your friends in to pay up and play or join a clan and so tie everyone into playing more. The balancing act is for them to try to make it just tolerable enough that you don't just quit outright yet are overwhelmingly denied enough that you simply can't do without co-operative teams. This is why the game barely scales to the number of players. The more players, the easier it gets. This is why the drop rates on RNG loot up to Heroic NFs _ the highest matchmade level - is abominable, yet is guaranteed for co-op. This is why the best mods in the game - "Big Ones" - and the best customisation from Adept weapons are simply not available to any soloplaying or match-made players. This is why virtually all the best in slot weapons are Raid or Trials exclusive and not available via any other route at all. This is why Harbinger and Hawkmoon is prohibitive for soloplaying, without basic game scaling. This is why the catalyst for DMT is prohibitive, without basic gamescaling. This is why game materials are thrown at clan members. This is why Pinnacle sources are far fewer for solo and match-made team players. And when you suck out all the best goodies, new quest weapons, raid weapons, Trials weapons, Adept weapons, non-Adept NF weapons, you've crossed over into 'Not Worth It' territory. Not that this isn't widely used across the gaming industry, Stronger together, as Anthem used to spin it. But, from someone who has played a VERY long time both in and out of clans, I'm not sure Bungie have recognised just how impoverished they've currently made the game for a significant portion of their customers.

I do miss heroic story missions.

Your camp is so solo and lone wolf you can't even band together to press this made issue because you are individuals and self centered. Sorry but just like your the main character in your destiny experience you're either supporting characters or a nobody in someone else's. Sorry you're so socially awkward to the point even a virtual interaction with people sends you into a coma.
-
Are you a Hunter main?
-
I never understand why solo players play this game. Then moan there's not a lot to do solo. It's a team game.
-
What are you on about? Nightfalls do have the options for you to go solo, you just gotta turn up the difficulty. You say you enjoy feeling outmatched? What better way to feel that way than running nightfalls solo at master or grandmaster? The recent expunge is also doable for solo players, I did the whole run by myself in under 10 minutes just FYI. This season is one of the best we ever had, we get a matchmaking mode on top of a solo mission to do. The loot is actually really good this season and stasis is finally getting a much needed nerf next week. The devs really have put in work on this season

You are complaining about multiplayer in a mmo... Also “tactics, strategy etc.” Pretty cringeworthy you saying that any decent player cares about those things not just the very minority however decent players are pretty much a minority but that’s an argument for a different forum in other words stop trying to solo the multiplayer game
-
Game is literally marketed as online MMO looter shooter and you expect it to have a lot of solo content. Might as well play other game.
-
I disagree. I feel the game is much more solo friendly as time goes on. Adventures weren't fun and in no way did they "overmatch" me.
-
Get a single player game bru.
-
Or bear with me here... Just play the game with other people. it is far more enjoyable to play the game with a group rather than by yourself
-
(Do players own New Light, or just lease
The whole game is a lease.
-
Its not designed for solo play. Most of it can still be done solo through unintended mechanics.
-
You can do most everything solo if you try hard enough or have a lot of spare time. Sometimes it's best to have a team though.
-
Edited by Deus EP: 5/31/2021 1:36:14 PMActually, Expunge is a great solo activity. Some people still need two teammates to complete it under 10 minutes tho
-
Edited by Squeezebug: 5/31/2021 12:05:30 AMI do hate how every activity is treated as a speed run. If you don’t want to shoot stuff, why play a shooter. I always get matched with people who just wanna run through everything. Lame.
-
Hawkmoon. Presage. Expunge. Nightfalls. Empire hunts. Dungeons. Lost sectors. Exo challenge. All soloable. Also, Bungie has made it very clear that this is a fireteam game. Hence most activities having matchmaking. While yes, I agree that strikes launched from their individual nodes should not be matchmade, I disagree with a node for adventures/campaign missions. Mostly because it would waste their resources to implement and they are largely very boring. (My opinion obviously)
-
Edited by Sweet Lew 88: 5/30/2021 7:26:35 PMWhy would a lone wolf buy a game that's basically about fireteams? I mostly solo, but don't have issues playing with others or using lfg to beat raids. No kudos for solo lost sectors or special rewards for solo flawless content?
-
Bungie has done more than they every have in the past to address all of these. I feel like the game has a lot of new light people lately. They just don’t get it.
-
I won’t ever understand or feel for people who play a multiplayer game solo. I’ve got an excellent idea for you..
go buy a single player game
Maybe you’ll feel more appreciated.
-
Try buying a single player game next time.... #NerfCrying
