goddamnit, i picked up card games again
been playing online but my wallet is soon to be killed

2 RepliesEdited by VIC: 5/17/2021 2:26:39 AMI used to play Yugioh back when I was in high school (mid-2000s) and was really good, like placing high, or winning tournament-levels of good but I stopped playing when my friends stopped playing. For what it's worth, that's when there was really only one meta and every high level player's decks were almost identical. I've always been tempted to get back into it, even though it's wildly different. One of my buddies that I used to play with has a son who plays now (which is wild to me on its own) and said as much. OTOH, I've been tempted to get into MTG since that's the TCG that most of my friends who play TCGs play, but yeah, I also feel like I'd wreck my wallet.

TCG's are only fun on pauper level or againnst friends for me anymore. Online TCG games are just a metaslave fiestas. Sure you can beat them with a homebrew flavor deck, but at the same time going against the same deck over and over is just not fun.
