So I’ve been seeing some people online say that “not everyone in Star Wars is gay,” in response to some characters that were unconfirmed with sexuality be confirmed to be within the LGBTQ+ community. Well, sure, but why not see how many beings in the galaxy far far away are LGBTQ+ using math? So out of the earths population of about 7.7 billion, around 10% is LGBTQ+. Now the Star Wars galaxy has a population of at least 2 trillion sentient life forms. Assuming the percentage of earths population that’s LGBTQ+ is the average, the galaxy far far way has at least 200 billion sentient life forms that are LGBTQ+, which you’ve probably noticed is many times greater than the total population of earth. Take that information as you will.

Uh, major problems here: - Star Wars has quadrillions of sentient beings in its galaxy. Coruscant alone has a population of 17 trillion. - How many of those beings are even sexual? There are lots of asexual/hermaphroditic species that you can’t take into account. - You don’t know how many of those quadrillions disavow the concept that you can change your gender or sex due to religious, societal, or other reasons.
Sorry, all out of salt.
I came on here expecting something something else..... I have no idea how to process this.

Homosexuality technically isn’t apart of the true Star Wars series as homosexuality wasn’t introduced till the latest three movies that don’t even fallow the story line.
nibbles crayon
Edited by pValue2010: 5/3/2021 4:39:02 PMI don’t know much about the Star Wars universe, but do these other sentient life forms also operate under two dimorphic sexes, and were they created from similar evolutionary processes? The answer would have to be “yes” to both of these at a bare minimum for your math to make any sense. Otherwise you’re extrapolating apples to oranges.
