Panzer wrote his next story!
I'm gonna write a whole origin TRILOGY! HAHA! Anyways, I'm also going to add tags so I can find this stuff and show it off to my friends. Anything without the tag that I've done in the past is no longer canon to my whole storyline, which I am piecing together again. Enjoy! This story vv is an exception to the tags rule, as I can't add tags to it. Also, first part https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/258718315?sort=0&page=0
---- After another long day of driving towards their unmarked destination, Commander sat in his seat, powered down Panzer’s engine, and tried to sleep over Mechanics’ constant clanging as he tinkered with some odd contraption. Despite this, he very quickly fell asleep and dreamt of his past. Commander woke at exactly 6:00, and he shot out of bed. He looked around, wide awake already, then realized he was no longer in the warzone he had lived in for 4 years. His surroundings looked like something that one would imagine in a dream, pristine gold and white surfaces with an architectural style he found reminiscent of the Romans he had read about in school. The large window beside his equally large bed showed a large city, full of flying vehicles and tall towers. If he ever got back, he was certain no one would believe he was ever here. A knock on his door jolted him from his idle thoughts. He got up to get changed but realized he was still wearing his uniform. He must’ve been so tired he slept in it. The knock sounded again, and he quickly got up to open the door, before realizing that there wasn’t a doorknob. After a moment of puzzling over it, he saw a button panel. Commander pressed all of them, and the door opened. He did fail to notice the lights flicker and the window open to reveal a fold-out balcony. Waiting in the doorway was his rather unimpressive “savior”. Well, his and his crews. When they first arrived here, they had maybe 15 minutes to acquaint themselves with their surroundings, before he and his crew grew too tired to stay on their feet, and were dismissed to sleep, however, they were able to learn that the man who took them from the battlefield and given them a new mission, looked not like a holy savior or mighty conqueror, but a middle-aged man who wore a blank tee-shirt and jeans. He claimed to have a considerable amount of power, which was and still is doubtful. Nonetheless, he would be sent to carry out this “mission” soon but had to acquaint. himself with the location, and his crew’s new… situation. The man, who only went by “Boss”, was also going to supply him with a mechanic to repair the tank, and communicate with his crewmates. Boss spoke up, “We have a debriefing before you’ll be sent off, you ready?” Commander nodded, and almost gave a salute, but faltered. He had no idea how the chain of command or anything of the like worked here, and it confused him. Boss visibly stifled a laugh, and said: “Don’t worry about that, just say ‘yes sir’ or whatever”. Commander nodded again, then quickly remember to say, “Yes Sir!”, which earned another small laugh from Boss. Arriving at the meeting area, a large open room with an elevated stage and a projector screen, he saw their tank waiting, seemingly fully manned. He knew his crew was there, but he just couldn’t see them. The tank whirred again, and a man’s head, covered in soot and wearing goggles, popped out of the commander’s hatch. When he noticed Commander, he waved and then raised his fist in a salute towards Boss. Boss acknowledged his salite with a nod, then got up on the stage, and pulled out a remote and tried to turn on the projector, but it beeped and whirred, before turning on, Then off again. Boss grunted and threw the remote at the projector, which fixed any problem it had. Two chairs appeared, one for me and one for the mechanic, who looked as if he could come straight from a mechanical team in his brigade. The tank waited behind him, the turret pointed directly at Boss, who cleared his throat. “Alright,” Boss started, his voice being amplified throughout the room, “You all know you have a mission. Let me reiterate some of the details. “ “This place,” he pointed at the projector, realized he no longer had the remote, and had to go retrieve to to change slides, which showed a map “Is our region in the Innerverse. “ “Here,” he pointed at another spot on the map, “Is a smaller universe, called ‘Offtopic’ by its denizens. Over here is the Skeleton King’s main armada.” He pointed at a large purple blob placed slightly above the spot where “Offtopic” was. “What I need you, and your crew, to do is enter the universe and blend with it’s inhabitants, which shouldn’t be hard. I’ll remain in contact for further instructions.” Boss began to step down, before he cocked his head, the turned back around. “Oh, and Commander, come up here. I’ve got a gift for you.” Commander was slightly confused, but went up anyways. Up there, Boss was waiting with a long black case. He opened it, and inside was what looked like a ceremonial saber. Boss picked it up off of a cloth, and handed it to Commander, who took it, and sat there wondering where to put it for a bit, before noticing a sheath for it had appeared on his side. Boss spoke up, “That sword can be used in combat, but it has a whole ‘nother function. You see, it-” A jostling woke Commander from his sleep. He looked up to see that Panzer was moving. He must’ve slept pretty soundly not to be woken by the engine. He got up out of the hatch to stretch, and the cold ocean wind woke him all the way up. Commander sat back down in his chair, and saw Mechanic fast asleep. He was always nocturnal, he thought, before looking ahead, excited to reach his destination.
