Games (I know) that have functional invisibility are:
1. Titanfall 2
2. Planetside 2
3. Destiny 2
4. Destiny 1
5. ESO?
6. StarCraft 2 (Nexus wars) (or Parasite)

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 comes to mind. Majins have an ability where they can self destruct, temporarily turning them invisible. They can’t attack during this time, but they can’t be locked onto, either. You can use it to revive teammates, or just get baddies off your back in a pinch. Maiden & Spell has some brief invisibility spells. The auto-lockon of all the game’s attacks prevent them from being too useful, but used properly and you can get in some pretty great sneak attacks. Since you can only (by default) take 4 hits per round, that’s pretty good, I think. I don’t actually have an example, but I’d be shocked if there’s not a fighting game out there that uses invisibility well.
