Now hear me out on this. This isn't a hate post, nor a post insinuating that Bungie isn't good enough on their own. However, you can't deny that Bungie has grand, fantastic ideas, and grand and fantastic ideas require green. Not to mention, some of Bungie's best work was when they had the support of other companies like Activision.
From an outsider/gamer's perspective looking in, I think it would be pretty sweet to see Bungie get the ID Software/Obsidian/Mojang treatment, where you get the love and support of a tech conglomerate but they still let you keep your autonomy and let you create your visions with little to no influence.
Let's be real here, Activision sucks, and honestly what did you expect from a company that primarily peddles garbage like CoD and Blizzard games. Destiny as a game and studio would be a much better fit along side ID and Bethesda.

Wow, your solution to Destiny's problem is to throw more money at it without realizing that throwing money at Destiny is the bloody problem.

They already sold out to a Chinese company
-
Bungie needs a lot of care, look his projects. They are good but need a lot of work to do...
-
As someone who plays xbox a lot, Microsoft is terrible. Do not let bungo with Microsoft. They ruined halo for bungie and we already saw Activisions plans.

That’s like selling their soul to the devil
they already did when corruption starting to spread.
Here's the thing, I liked Destiny. Now that it is getting older my liking of it is waning. The gameplay has faltered, the developers are stagnant, and in general has gotten boring. The attitude lately has been to fix some bugs with duct tape and bailing wire and do what they can to squeeze every nickel out of the game until it is wrung dry. They have already moved a majority of the developers over to new IPs and have put D2 on life support. The current season should be a telling factor. Major bugs that haven't been fixed, lack of any real support for connectivity issues, laziness in the way the season was set up, etc. etc. etc. If you think that this season was bad, just wait, I have a feeling that the next few seasons are going to be worse on an exponential scale. Of course these are just my opinions and theories.

Bungie paid a lot of money to be free from a situation like this. I don't see them doing it again

While I like the idea in theory, two problems. Problem 1; Bungie has been desperate to be free from any other company and to fully own their IPs, something they likely won’t give up again unless absolutely necessary. Especially since they are investing in more manpower and a significantly larger workspace once we get out of the pandemic. Problem 2; Bungie has produced with Microsoft before, and it didn’t exactly end happily. Microsoft kept Halo, while forcing Bungie to make two more games in ODST and Reach before ending their partnership. Same goes for Halo 3 as well, Bungie wanted to end the series with Halo 2 (although that was also due to time crunch and hardware limitations). Partnering just for the sake of financial support and extra manpower sounds nice, but there is always strings attached and Bungie’s previous experience with Microsoft probably left a bad taste in their mouth.

Didn't Bungie announced that they are expanding their office size and making an international office somewhere in Europe? To put it simply I think Bungie is doing well on their own at this moment.
-
I agree espically as a xbox player but does that not mean that sony will try to make it so then people cant play d2 since their rival owns it?
-
ugh, after bungie start doing good changes no thanks
