Verify integrity of game files since 3.1.1.2 patch
Ever since the 3.1.1.2 patch all I get when i try to run the game is the below steam error.
"Problem reading game content. Please close Destiny 2, right click on Destiny 2 in the Steam app to run 'VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES...' in Properties. Then restart Destiny 2 to try again."
The issue is I've done this and same error. I deleted all my game files and reinstalled, same thing even moved to a different drive and revalidated the files and again the same thing. I have NEVER had this with Destiny 2 and now nothing i do allows me to play the game. Great start to a nice long bank holiday weekend :(
@Bungie please advise on what else can be done!
UPDATE:
So if anyone else has this issue it appears that steam downloaded some corrupted game files and kept it in the steam cache so even after deleting and reinstalling it was using the same corrupted cache files... Clearing the Steam download cache and redownloading AGAIN fixed the issue.

3 RepliesI came here to complain about this very thing. I did re-download the game, but I'll check for the Steam cache files and try once more. Game was crashing anywhere between the choose a character screen and landing on any destination. Guess I'm not playing today, since I only have about an hour left of free time. :/
