Vorpal First In, Last Out or Trench Barrel Xenoclast?

I'm having an extremely hard time choosing which shotgun should be my main secondary in PvE. First In, Last Out Hammer-Forged/Polygonal Extended Mag/Steady Rounds Slideshot Vorpal Weapon Xenoclast IV Smoothbore/Smallbore Appended Mag/Accurized Rounds Auto Loading Holster Trench Barrel I've tried to do research on Google about the Vorpal Weapon vs Trench Barrel debate but I haven't come up with any solid conclusions yet

  • Well I would say in my opinion that first off keep both If you raid I can see thst first in last out being good for skolas especially if you out boss spec on it However your xenoclaust is gonna be better I think since vorpal is only for bosses, and vehicles in pve, one y are you running up to a boss to shotgun, and two there seems to be very few vehicle combatants, I know it works on cyclops and hydras, and obviously pikes and stuff like that, but they are not very abundent So for me I would keep the xeno for regular pve but keep the first in last out if you want for skolas, I can't see it being much more helpful, maybe in pvp but I don't suggest trying to shotgun a super, it's likely gonna take two shots and before you can fire again ur likely gonna die just cause of all the area affect damage most supers do

First In. No question. Slugs got a juicy PvE buff, making them viable DPS options when you can get close. First In with Vorpal will tear massive chunks of health out of yellow bars. It even slaps in Gambit where yellow bars and invaders with roaming supers are a common sight. Lightweight shotguns were never that amazing to begin with. The damage you put out often isn't worth the amount of ammo the gun eats through. Couple that with the fact that Trench Barrel requires constant setup and pellet spread makes your damage inconsistent? Xenoclast is the loser here unless all you care about is cleaning up weak trash mobs, and even then, there's better options. If you want to use a good lightweight frame, get yourself a Seventh Seraph and go nuts with Warmind Cells.

      • It's like comparing apples and oranges. They both have very different play styles.
