What's the point of this? It already travels slow af, and freezes for less than 2 seconds. Is anybody really dying to this with any consistency?
Titan melee: Does half damage, slows, and kills you by the architects if you're anywhere close to a wall.
Hunter melee: Does half damage, slows, chains multiple targets, and has a double charge.
There's absolutely zero reason listed in the TWAB, I'd love to see the metrics behind this. Warlocks already have the shittiest neutral game of the 3 stasis classes after the first nerf. No movement, no shatter ability, no stasis exotic. What gives?

The real issue is that penumbral blast was already stealth nerfed a couple of patches ago. Then they turned around and claimed it was "unintentional " when they got caught and the reverted the changes. Now they are nerfing it again back to how it was during the stealth nerf. So the stealth nerf was intentional all along, they just didn't think they would get caught.

This isn't another nerf this is the original [b]Stealth nerf[/b] we [b]caught[/b] last week. The changes match each other.

Honestly warlocks have the greatest inferiority complex of all the classes, ITS A COMPLETE FREEZE,YOU CANT DO ANYTHING IF YOU GET HIT BY IT, in a game with both shotguns and snipers being able to insta-shatter and even the slowest primaries having a TTK of one second I honestly don’t understand how anyone sees this as a bad ability at all. It’s not like day one where you could just aimlessly throw it and freeze people at 50 meters but it’s still definitely really good, especially against pretty bad players who don’t have good movement or just straight line. not to mention hedrons giving a 20% dmg buff...

Crowd control abilities should do crap for damage in exchange for the fact that it’s crowd control.

Even with all the issues we have with Stasis Penumbral Blast was not one of the them. Did Bungie conveniently forget that Warlocks have no Shatter ability? Well I guess when we ask for Stasis nerfs Bungie delivers 🙄

This is honestly an absolutely horrible change and will make it mostless useless. Once frozen it’s going to take 4 headshots from the Steady Hand to kill them if you froze them at full health. You’ll nearly never kill people now with your primary’s which means the whole aspect is now pointless.

Dont you dare disapprove of more warlock nerfs. We are already the most underused class and the weakest. We need more nerfs until we are incapable of causing damage at all. Then we will truly have balance.

Because insta freeze melee looks op on paper so they complain without having even used it. There will be absolutley no point using it in pvp. It's pve only now but I'm ok with it. [spoiler]if thats the price we had to pay to nerf behemoth and revenent, so be it.[/spoiler]

😂😂😂 Warlocks stasis has the best neutral game of every subclass in the game. Healing ... damage buffs... A room clearing melee. A high damage super that can also clear rooms. Everyone has access to shatter...its called weapon damage.

“Of the three stasis classes” Better go play top tree dawn then. Chaos reach will still be solid after nerf. If you want movement, Dawnblade has movement. For hunter and titan, shatterdive and shiver strike make stasis good movement for them.

If you can't kill someone after freezing them with the melee it is player error. Comparing the melee nerf to the current melee of the other classes doesn't make sense either, they are all getting nerfed, especially the Hunter melee

It instantly freezes players, I never once used it to finish off enemies. I only ever used it to defend myself from shotgun apes

Yeah, I'm curious as to why also. For the way I personally play Shadebinder in PvP, this change doesn't really do anything I use Penumbral Blast as a quick way to get Hedron's procced and then proceed to use a weapon that can abuse that buff Like, the biggest change for me came on the last round, where they made frozen targets take more Special damage and less Primary damage. Still scratching my head at that one

I'd assume it's to balance the power freeze still has. With the hunters damage buff revert and a nerf to the stacks of slow they can apply, the overall utility of it will have drastically decreased, making it significantly less potent (although still really really annoying to get hit by). The titans melee basically couldn't freeze so it's damage is tuned around the effects I guess? Think of the hunters smoke bomb. It doesn't hurt very much, but it can screw you over pretty hard. Probably their thinking with penumbral blast too. That's the only REAL guess I've got.

Amazing isn't it. Look at the proposed damage numbers for it now and compare them to the hunter adjustment and now think about the kit of each of these subclasses before the adjustments. Just makes no sense at all.

In my point of view crowd control abilities should do little damage but have the extra effects of crowd control.
