As the title says, it would be amazing if the devs in the future could involve the community more into designs and gear making it into the game. Just like now with the Festival of the Lost-vote, discount the somewhat bland taste in both designs.
How about this, do like steam workshop, even utilize that market for that matter.
Have community members post and display their own designs in armor or weapons, have the community vote for a potential chance to have it included into the game.
Money-wise, you could maybe give a small symbolic sum of payment as a reward for inspiration and/or a shout out aknowleding the artist, either as lore on the armour/weapon or on the website. This could lead to giving the designers at the studio some fresh inspiration themselves and see things from a different perspective.
There are so many amazing designs out there made by the fans that look absolutley amazing.
I like monsters and dinosaurs, sure, but this two armor-sets feels so... off... compared the Destinys aesthetic.

Would even consider playing with Malf if it had this ornament.

What do you guys think? Would it be something that the community would want, is it a viable way to spark the creativity amongs the designers at Bungie and among the community?

That first link is basically fancy Hive. Its not bad Dint like the malfeasance ornament. Its just the stock gun with red all over. Second armor set was nice. Gave off a ethereal or ghostly vibe to it. The siva weapons are eh. Its just pre existing guns with Outbreak pieces glued on.
