A potential explantation for the Dunemarchers bug

I know this is a known issue, but from what I've heard, read and what I've experienced, nobody seems to have figured out what's going on. The issue tracker says the following: "The Titan Exotic leg armor Dunemarchers no longer triggers its Linear Actuators perk". I found this to be weird as Linear Actuar does activate when the target survives the melee attack. So I looked into it and I'm pretty sure I know what's going on. If you look at the video linked to this post; You'll see that unlike last season, the debuff applied when an opponent is struck while Linear Activators is active disappears on death. Here is how I came to this conclusion: At first, I thought it was only that linear actuator applies properly if the target died from the melee hit, but after thinking about it for a while it didn't feel like that was the issue at hand. I then remembered that the arcs don't come out immediately after the melee attack. I knew that targets glow when they are affected by Linear Actuators. So I checked if the target had the glow when they died. For those that died on the melee hit they didn't get the glow. For those that survived they had the glow for ~2seconds (~125 frames @60fps). I then did some tests and struck a target to low health with a linear actuator melee and finished them off before the status would normally end. That's when I found out that the glow disappeared on death. To confirm that this was new, I then looked up for some Dunemarchers footage from previous seasons and found a clip from season 12 where the enemy kept the glow after death. This leads me to my current conclusion that the Linear Actuator effect is being removed too soon, and therefore preventing any arcs. This effect removal seems to only happen with Dunemarchers as the thorn effect is still visible on killed targets until the effect finishes. Potential solutions: I suspect that this is the result of optimization. If I was to recommend a solution other than the low hanging fruit of reverting this optimization, I would either cause the arcing effect to occur immediately or make sure to trigger the arcing effect on death if no arcing attempts have been made yet. Personally, I would go for the 2nd, as I can see a potential for enemies to infinitely arc each other if something goes wrong while implementing the first one.
