I haven't played in almost a year, but I just wanted to know if anyone on this forum has the same problems with the core of the game. I feel its imperative to have these adress, but Bungie never checks the forums so kinda just for you guys who play this game still.
1. Washed out and Muted colours. I feel like this game and the upcoming Diablo 4 suffer from a terrible colour pallette or saturation when compared to Destiny 1/Diablo 3. It's like they've beaten the life out of the game in hopes to give it a "new" feel. This weapon and Armour shaders are hit by this too in such a way that they feel dull or distorted.
2. Sounds of certain guns and gun types. This is something I had others bring up when completing a raid, some of the guns like Bad Juju dont have the meaty sound when firing and feel limp. I dont know how but again compared to Destiny 1 the guns dont come close to the thunderous boom I'd expect from an Exotic or Legendary Weapon.
3. Lastly the original supers dont have the impact you'd expect. Hammer of Sol and Stormcaller (Pre-Forsaken Class Trees), again dont have the VFX or the meaty sound they once had. Stormcaller used to have thicker Arcs of lightning with bassy sounds and Hammer of Sol doesn't have the same fear factor of "of -blam!- run for your lives" due to it having the appearence of feeling weaker. It's all just meh. One feels like im a conduit of super soakers and the other is the "My little Builder" combo set thrown onto a guardian.
I'd love to comeback to this game, but these 3 issues stick out so much it becomes a problem. I understand these changes wont make you kill things faster, but thats not the problem. The problem for me and many others I've spoken to in the past is the feel and atmosphere of the game.
