I thought the whole idea behind Cyphers was to allow players who missed out on previous exotics an avenue to acquire them. For various reasons, I did not play last season. Saw there is a new fancy shotgun in the exotic kiosk in the tower and went to grind out an exotic cypher to get it. Come to find out, now that I have the Cypher, the game asks me to upgrade to d2 delux, just to have access to a season that is already over. What the hell? So now I have this cypher.. but what is the point? To act as an extra exotic emgram at xur? That was hardly worth the effort.
