Toland spawns but talking to him does not trigger completing The Shattered challenge
Just tried it rn, went to Ascendant challenge, found Toland, listened to what he had to say and....nothing happened. I even waited for a while because it could be little delayed but it did not help. No quest completition.

Same happened for me. Actually the first time i went in he didn't spawn. It was the explosive ward version, no Toland, boss chest didn't spawn either. Went back in after ascendence expired, it was the taken boopers version, Toland was there, chest spawned, no challenege completed for Toland tho.
