account says inactive characters and in clan on website, but not clan shows in game
I had stopped playing destiny awhile back on ps4, I have my account from ps4 and steam linked, just started playing again recently ( few weeks ago logged in, and now today). it keeps saying inactive characters, is it cause i only have free version of D2 and not the forsaken and so on. if thats the case, i will buy forsaken or one the other 2; but if not, then i dont want to spend the money if it doesnt fix the issue.
Secondly, me and a buddy are in a clan together on website, and for them it shows me in game. but for me a clan isnt showing up in the game.. not sure whats going on there either.

You need to join the clan with your PSN account, not your Steam account, as PSN is where your character data actually resides. Cross-save is allowing you to use your PSN save data on Steam, but that data will always be permanently tied to your PSN account, and nothing transfers between accounts. Your Steam account data is dormant, due to cross-save overriding its data, which is why it shows as inactive. Join the clan with your PSN account, then have your Steam account pass on the founder status to the PSN account, and you can leave the clan from the Steam account. Only the active account needs to be in the clan, and whichever platform you play on, you will have access to the clan benefits.
