I can't be there only player enjoying what they're doing with Destiny 2... Right? I mean seriously, I'm having a lot of fun playing it. I just started a little over a year ago, and so far I haven't been disappointed.
Yes this game can be grindy, and yes it has its flaws (because nothing can be perfect). It can be frustrating as hell, and some things don't work the way they were intended.
But Bungie seems to be moving forward (sorry about your Cosmodrome old-timers) and creating new stuff for the future. The content available right now is fun to play. It looks bleeping fantastic, and I'm glad they decided not to recreate old content for nostalgia's sake and are trying to come up with more new content.
They are also trying new things. I really like what they did with the gambit and crucible rank rewards instead of bounties. If you like those modes, you'll be rewarded for playing them. But I hate crucible, and now I no longer feel forced to play it to get anything offered there because I can "buy" plenty of upgrade materials from the gunsmith or Spider. I don't know what they have planned for vanguard down the road, but I'm looking forward to seeing what they have in store.
Free to play is bringing a lot of new players into the game. I don't think Bungie is going to miss all the serial complainers who rage quit the game. It's a game: flaws in its design (e.g. tying the Ticuu's catalyst to PvP when it's worthless in those modes) should rightly be pointed out. But for crying out loud, if you really hate so much about it then find something else to play and go plague their forums.
Oh, and have a nice day 😉
