So I've tried everything I (and my friend who's a software engineer) could think of.
I'm on PC. I keep getting the WEASEL or NAT error code or simply a "cannot connect to Steam server" or "Contacting Destiny 2 servers" messages.
It happens every time I log in. I can't even get to orbit. It's happened every day for the last few days, ever since my last Windows update (though I don't know if that's why).
I've tried:
- troubleshooting my network
- turning off my firewall
- turning on network discovery
- setting my network to private and public
- going invisible and online on Steam
- turning my PC off and on
- disconnecting and reconnecting to WiFi
- flushing the DNS
- verifying integrity of game files
- uninstalling and reinstalling Destiny 2
- playing alone or with someone else on the same IP
- and much, much more.
Other Steam games work fine. My WiFi connection is strong. The other person who plays on my IP doesn't have any issues at all with Destiny.
The only other thing I can think of is that my account is banned for some reason. I saw that might be why some people get WEASEL. I didn't receive a message that I was banned, though, and I'm not sure why I would be. I play on the same IP as someone else, but obviously I play with them.
Bottom line: I can't play the game. And I just got the season pass. lol
Please help. I'm overrun by WEASELs and NATs...it's a pest fest.
