That's right I said it, don't nerf shotguns. I am exclusively a primary weapon user and I hate shotguns, snipers, fusions, pretty much every OHK weapon, but I am saying, don't nerf hammer shotguns(maybe the drastically OP ones, I'm looking at you Felwinters Crutch).
Instead, implement what I am calling a Rock, Paper, Scissors mechanic. For example, if you have a shotgun equipped you take more damage from weapons that should do damage in roughly that range, smgs and sidearms.
Scout rifle do slightly more damage to people with snipers equipped.
Special ammo weapons are actually in a decent place. The problem is that within their respective ranges, if the players are equal, the special ammo weapon is going to win 9 times out of 10.

We already have a similar mechanism with vorpal weapons and supers. If you bring a weapon with vorpal into pvp, you do it for one reason, supers. I want it to be if you come into pvp with an smg, you can expect to at least contend against shotguns.
