Hello,
As title says, 16 player activity can happen. You could see recently there is/was a bug that 16 players joined The Glassway strike at once. So 16 player activity is actual possibility. My idea is that Bungie shouldn't fix the bug entirely, but instead use it and make actual end game activity which you can grind. 16-man something what could have the most insane difficulty you can imagine (gameplay-wise and mechanics-wise). I think players could actually appreciate it since Menagerie or something similar isn't in game anymore. Don't get me wrong. I don't mean something like World of Warcraft raid style or something, but something that could be fun and could be end-game at the same time. We, as players, need something difficult. Even casual players are getting bored with the game. Raids nowdays are insanely easy.
With regards,
Trago

Maybe 6, not 16.

Edited by crsno: 1/17/2021 9:40:06 PMBecause of Bungie's use of peer to peer networking, any activity with this many players would be near impossible to make lag free. There's so many disadvantages with having P2P in an action game (just google it), and one of them is that every player needs to sync with each other and the host, thus the networking will never be faster than the slowest connection in the pool. You'll have a very hard time finding 16 players with good enough connection to each other, especially now that player numbers are low. The game has enough disconnections and error code problems as it is, this would increase tenfold with 16 players. That's why even destinations have a max number of players (9?).

It's definitely not a possibility, the game lags super hard when it happens. The game crashed for me earlier shooting a warmind cell. This game isn't built well enough for that many people.

It’s a random glitch right? I may have to farm the tower to see if it happens.
