I have been a consistent player since the launch of D1, and today when I was getting on to try some trials this week I open my game to a 2 month restriction from any pvp and gambit activities due to my connection. I had a 2 week ban about 6 months ago which I just let happen and tried to fix, but now the same thing has happened. My problem is not that Bungie is giving out bans or restrictions for this, it's that this came without any warning beforehand. I have seen a few other posts on the same topic on this forum from people in the same boat as me and all I can say is that this whole system is so frustrating. Right after buying the season pass, additional content with beyond light, grinding out this community event and so on just to get more recycled guns and content and be met with a restriction that came out of nowhere really is harsh. Not everyone is able to have perfect internet 100% of the time, and while i know having some internet problems here and there wont get you a restriction, I'm still curious if this punishment is fitting. I have sent in an appeal for the restriction, fingers crossed it is at least seen but I have also seen forum posts saying most arent replied to (yes, their policy is that most are not responded too, but I feel like players with this same problem at least deserve a response saying no action will be taken to reduce the restriction). Again I'm not concerned with bans or restrictions given out if someone is hindering the community's enjoyment of the game, but without any warning or even knowledge of the offense from the player doing it seems extreme, and it is frustrating how this is dealt with sometimes. If anyone is having the same problem or knows how to help please lmk, after years of frustration from this game this whole situation doesn't really help.
