Merciless is bugged
Merciless no longer works as intended. The flavor text reads, “Non-lethal hits with projectiles make this weapon charge faster until its wielder gets a kill.” However, it no longer auto-fires, and it no longer charges faster. It now just behaves like a normal, slow fusion rifle.

They finally patched it at the end of last season after a couple seasons of being bugged then the Beyond Light update broke it again.

Yep did kills for catalyst yesterday when completing my collection of incomplete catalysts and can confirm this is busted. I remember charge rate being significant before and it didn’t appear to do anything or if it did it was like slapping a charge rate masterwork on it when perk triggered, which is pretty sad.

I know, its such a cool fusion and when you're charged with light, it can pump serious dmg out... if it worked.

There's no fix for merciless on Luke Smither's phantasy scarab lord land, therefore, no fix for merciless on reality.
