Alignment appears with a cane in his hand, eager to greet you.
Alignment: “Ladies, gentlemen and everyone else, allow me to be the first to welcome you to the new and official Academy!”
Alignment points to the groups of crates, people and half-built structures behind him.
Alignment: “Granted, it’s not much at the moment, but much like a tree that has just sprouted, it will grow into something more over time. Unlike a tree, however, it won’t take a quarter of your lifespan to bear fruit, especially since now, I have you to help us.
During the attack of the Grand Colony, the wonderful people here have freed numerous citizens of a long-gone kingdom from a state of suspended animation. They’ve been recovering, but are still weak from a couple years of being trapped in energy-draining pods. So, seeing as the Academy’s progress towards completion is relatively slow, your first assignment is to assist in its construction.
Speak to me when you want to upgrade a stat of yours and I’ll give you a task that’ll provide all of us some mutual benefits.”
Introduction
Welcome to the Study Hall! This is where you’ll spend time exploring the Academy and completing tasks to upgrade your stats to prepare for large assignments in the future.
There are 3 types of tasks for each stat:
•Simple: Quick and easy tasks that only provide a minor boost to your stats. If 3 simple tasks are performed, no more tasks will be available for the remainder of the Study Hall.
•Moderate: Average tasks that give an average boost to stats. Only one can be done in the Study Hall, but it can be followed up by a simple task to end the session.
•Advanced: Slightly challenging tasks that take a bit of time, but provide the biggest boosts to stats. Only one can be done and doing it will prevent you from doing any more tasks for the session.
Exploring the Academy and interacting with the people there on your own time may also improve stats depending on what you do. To start a task, speak to Alignment.
Once you feel finished with the Study Hall, you may leave whenever you like. Feel free to ask any questions.
Update: I have also changed how stats work to prevent number inflation. Instead of 10 points on a stat granting a +1 to the respective roll, it will only take 5 points. For those who’ve already made their papers, I have already distributed and changed the points on your sheet accordingly.
For example, if you had a 30 stat in strength that gave +3, it is now 15 in strength, which still gives a +3. If you want to see your new stat sheet, ask me.

*Wolfkeeper walks in* Hhm, this looks fun, but I was wondering if you have some kind of a training room or practice area? You see, I have all of my legions after a battle send me the nicest treasures. A few days ago my Dead Legion sent me a chest full of gadgets and do-hickeys with a note that read, “Spoils from the Battle of Nine Gates, sir. We tested a few for you, sir. We made a list. I was wondering if you have anywhere I could test these. The list reads: 1. A mask of the Djinn: We had to pry this off the poor soul we had try it out. It seems to be housing a fire spirit in it, we found this out because the mask burned the guy to medium rare. Pretty nasty. 2. Enchanted Bow: This bow seems to almost always hit its mark, as long as it isn’t moving and you only miss within 5 feet. 3. A mummified worm: This one freaked us out pretty bad. It started to whisper, and chant strange words in a language we don’t understand. We suggest to burn it with fire.
