There's been a lot of talk about the raid being too easy which has divided a lot of players. Personally I find the raid to be too easy, but having it be reasonable to complete, so new players can actually give it a shot is probably a good thing. Raiding is the most fun part of Destiny, so I'm glad there is a level of accessibility for new players, especially with the easier raids having been sunset.
That being said, right now things kinda suck for dedicated Pve players, with DSC being so easy there's nothing to chase. GM nightfalls will offer some challenge, especially ones coming into rotation for the first time, but that doesn't drop till mid-december, and raids should be the source of Endgame. A hard mode raid seems like the solution.
A D1 style prestige with harder mechanics and such would be ideal, but with Bungie no longer having Activision's support I get that might not be possible as hardcore raiders are a small swathe of the community. At the very least allow players to go into contest mode past day 1.
Adept weapons for that would be really cool, but honestly I'd be content with just the ability to get drops a second time per week from it, or slightly higher stat averages for armor, or an adaptable perk slot on weapons like from last season's decoder...
Honestly I think most of us would be happy to just be able to put it on for the sake of fun at this point.
PS. I know this post is mostly complaining, but I thought I should mention that aside from the difficulty, this has been a fantastic raid. Beautiful, cool mechanics, and fantastic atmosphere. Best raid loot in D2 in my opinion, and the final chest being farmable with spoils is an A+ change. Bungie's raid team knocked it out of the ballpark as usual!
