Look, I've played this game since the beginning and every year the PVP sandbox gets destroyed by something new. Graviton Lance changes, Felwinters Lie, Luna's Howl, Mountain Top, One Eyed Mask, Hardlight, Suros, and Wormhusk are all examples of things that have just destroyed the meta. But now sith the addition of beyond light stasis is destroying PVP and its tuning I feel is just not enough. Look I love stasis but why does it fully freeze in PVP and not Slow like it does for Ultra and Bosses in PVE??
Seperate balancing would allow for better tuning for weapons instead of them being a wasted option. I'd like to point towards "Ace of Spades" as a prime example. In what world would it hurt to have Memento Mori stay when swapping in PVE? What about shotgun ranges? Fusion Rifle damage falloff? None of that would break the PVE sandbox so why keep the tuning between two modes?
Like look at how "Stasis" has just destroyed PVP but that could have been avoided with just a few changes to how it affects guardians. Like I know its suppose to be immersion but like you already broke that in keeping most of the PVP maps. Like go load Bannerfall the Traveller is still damaged.
Like this game could seriously benefit from seperate balancing because more often than not people skip over weapons because they just aren't even good for the PVE content.
