So I did the math 14 weeks in your season. In the season of dawn with your 14 weeks you would make 3600 bright dust a week if you completed them on all three characters. 3600 x 14 = 50,400. Realistically speaking most people get about half that maybe 3/4s only the most devoted get the whole sum. Now with the coming season you will only be able to earn 100 bright dust per weekly bounty instead of the original 200. (Btw they also nerfed the extra bounties that give you meager sums they use to give 20 now they reward 10.) So instead of seeing 3600 a week if you complete the bounties on all three characters you get 1800. 1,800 x 14 = 25,200. Now we get a bonus 10,500 bright dust from the pass too so we got 25,200 + 10,500 = 35,700. Any way you cut it they've nerfed how much bright dust we can earn even if we devoted ourselves to the maximum effected we're getting screwed out of at least 14,000 bright dust. Funny enough of course this is related to the eververse store what else could it be. -blam!-ing Bungie one step forward two steps back. Cha-cha real smooth 🎶.
TLDR
We used to have the opportunity to make 50,400 BrightDust in a season. In the future it'll only be 32,000 or a little more if you're willing to spend money of course.

Hello fellow guardian, you must be new here. Whenever bungie decides to make changes to the game such as our armor system or bright dust accumulation they always find a way to make it a little less rewarding for the players, or make us a little bit less powerful while trying to talk it up like that's not whats happening at all. Image, if you will, youre getting robbed. This robber however, while taking your goods, is talking to you in an enthusiastic voice about how he is actually helping you out by reducing your carry load and earthly possessions that have enslaved you too them. "You dont need this ridiculous phone, its holding you back, dumbing you down. I'm taking it off your hands so you can do better, be better and have a more focused goal and other things in life." Thats bungie.

This isn’t the first time. It’s typical Bungie....
-
It’s all calculated to make players spend real $$$. Linking it more and more with the season pass.... paid is “better”. Yes it does give players with more than 1 character “more” however players would probably have completed those bounties anyway each week... by just playing to upgrade the grind of the season pass. There are many players who never finish 100 levels each season... We all know new future transmog skins will have an Eververse only ridiculously expensive price tag.... FOMO has definitely not left Bungies business plan... I know these “cosmetics” are optional but when you see some of the coolest skins and obviously intended in game rewards constantly for “silver” it’s shows their full intent quite clearly.

Your maths is wrong. You forgot to carry the 3 👍

I will only buy a certain item with BD that I like, that is key point there, the thing is BD will be a thing of the past sooner or later because when people use BD to there advantage, Bungie hates losing money to another currency source to buy an item. I expect in seasons to come Silver will be the only the true main for EV. the next update for BD is the removal of the currency. The tribute hall was to drain most of the BD from people who collected alot.
-
They’re nerfing bright dust? If that’s the case then I’m done doing weekly bounties right after I’m done leveling up my character and season.
-
They should have added Silver instead of bright dust to the pass, like pretty much every other game with a battle pass. Bungie is cheap.
-
This doesn’t bother me at all, I only have one character and I’ll get more Bright Dust this way.
-
I dont mind the changes. I have other things to do other than grind bounties on all three characters.
-
I know you are all upset. Why don't we play for a little bit. Let's play describe the game Destiny using their guns. Destiny 1: is like a Gjallarhorn - Because elegant and loved by all. Destiny 2: is like a Whisper of the Worm - Because reskins?. . . Yeah, it's the beginning of the copy/paste era. Destiny 2.2 Beyond Light: is like The Cut and Run - Because . . . well, I think that says it all. It's self explanatory. But the Fanbois will not get this and will get triggered. Bungie Logic!
-
Why not? You won't do anything about other than keep playing. They got you on lock!
-
Yeah but don’t worry, the causals who only play 1 character or don’t do weeklies will be getting more bright dust and the ones like myself who put the effort in and do all the weeklies on all 3 characters get -blam!- :)
-
EA partnership when?
-
They need to recoup losses from the extension of the current season. They'll probably change it back once that happens.
-
Bungie is tone deaf. They know how to stab guardians in the back and twist the knife.
-
-
they did made it morer worster then before
-
With sunsetting, weapons and armor or only transitory items. They no longer have any lasting value, here today, gone in 9-10 months. But Eververse silver purchases are forever...and Bungie clearly needs more silver purchases from the 3 character hardcore crowd.
-
This is hilarious! Love to see how people justify this. If you haven't seen how scummy Bungie are by now and what they really care about then you deserve to suffer with this heap.
-
Give me 5-10k for every 100 season pass levels.
-
Weekly bounty now account based, read carefully. So you can't get 1800 on "three characters". It will be 600 bright dust per week from season 12. So your math is wrong. It's not a nerf, it's bright dust sunsetting.=)
-
You do you, but tbh I couldn’t do the same stuff three times over each week. D2 has been a strict one character show for me. The game is repetitive enough as is.
-
This is generally the help people who play with one character or casually get more bright dust. This is a non-issue.

Honestly who cares it's cosmetics. This topic is so ludicrous I had to make sure that I wasn't on the Warframe companion app LOL you know because in Warframe the endgame is cosmetics that's what all players care about is cosmetics LOL I know it's a little bit off topic but if Warframe wasn't so heavily focus on cosmetics Warframe would have potential to be better than Destiny only if they didn't have employees that were pretty much the embodiment of EA. If you think sunsetting is bad just imagine if Bungie decided to remove content not updated and not make it better just remove it that's why Warframe will never be better than Destiny. Yes some stuff is being vaulted in D2 but just like what Bungie said even though it's being vaulted eventually it's going to come back. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if we have some kind of rotation yearly cycle like this year we will have Venus and all the destiny one stuff and next year some of the D2 might come back. Of course I can't forget the most important key component Bungie actually listens to player feedback if it benefits the game. Don't give me any reply hate I'm just sharing my opinion here that this person of the post is acting like Cosmetics is so important like in Warframe. it's kind of funny if you compare Warframe and Destiny in about a year or so Warframe is not going to exist because there is a website that has a full accurate list of what content going to come out for Warframe and by the time they have enough content to equal the amount of content you get from Destiny every 3 months in warframe that wont be until the year 2025. Facts lol

I'm surprised bright dust is still a thing. Bungo is all about the denero

Was hoping for an account bounty for dust, that let me play what I want. I miss the time I just played Destiny 2 to get duplicates that I turned into dust, everything I did felt rewarding.
