Took a break last week for my birthday and went to the coast for a getaway. Got me wondering though: There are a lot of people who live in landlocked areas and have these people been to and swam in the ocean before? I have always lived in a place close to an Ocean and maybe I've taken that for granted.
So:
Why haven't you been if you haven't?
Do you have any fun or terrifying memories if you have?
Have a great weekend!

That's a good song Also yeah, Ocean Shores. It's uhh... Not got the brightest bulbs... I guess maybe it was just tourism brain? Either way...

Been on the shores of the Atlantic in South and North Carolina, Florida, Jamaica, the Bahamas, and Mexico I have been on the shores of the Pacific in California and Hawaii (multiple islands) I would like to do the same for the Indian (Aus and New Zealand) and Southern (Chile/Argentina and Antarctica) Oceans Especially now that I'm a certified diver!

Lakes/Lagoons are better and more communal imo.

I’ve been to the beach four times. It was fun for sure!
Sorry, all out of salt.
-
Plenty of times. Last time was just this past weekend. It is a lot better with people you know, otherwise it just gets boring.
-
I haven’t because I’m absolutely -blam!-ing terrified of it
-
I have been to both the pacific and the Atlantic Oceans. I definitely prefer Atlantic to pacific. Much warmer.

The beach isn’t that bad, but I much prefer shark-tooth or sea glass hunting than opposed to hanging out near the sand bar.
-
I'm scared of sharks. I'm scared of anything that lives in the ocean.
-
... I don't remember it but I went with my aunt and cousins one time I guess...
not included in the DLC
-
I have. It's evil and humans were not meant to go there.
-
I've swam in one of the great lakes, and the Atlantic.

Fuсk the ocean me and all my homies heat the ocean

I've been to a beach in Florida and one in Rocky Point, Mexico. My great-grandma lived in Florida at the time, so we visited her once and went to the beach while we were there. Two things I remember from that trip: my great-grandma drove us and my mom was scared for our lives; and I was boogie boarding and ended up needing a lifeguard to save me after a wave pushed me under. For the Mexico trip, we were there because my stepdad used to build and race dune buggies, and his next race was in Rocky Point. I don't really remember much about this one except for a woman selling mangoes on sticks on the beach.

Almost it swept out to sea once

Been there. Done it. I liked it.

I love the ocean. I love going boggie boarding. I don't even mind the taste of the salt water, and I don't mind being rolled in a wave I misjudged of just how big it was. That said, I don't like swimming in lakes. They seem to be over populated, and have more trash in them.
