Option 1: add super resiliency for a short time so you can actually fire a weapon after you fire tether.
Option 2: make tether 0 second delay so that it actually grabs the people in the room.
Pretty frustrating whiffing this one. With a game that has 1 second time to kills with most weapons, it’s pretty frustrating to have a 2 second casting animation followed by a 2 second time to tether. That’s 4 second before you can fire even one bullet to take advantage of it. In today’s sandbox, you can die 4 times in that same remind period!
Thanks you!

Both top and bottom need a buff, all voidwalker trees for warlocks also need buffs. Titans are in a pretty good place but most of their builds revolve around melees which kind of limits creativity.
-
You want this for PvP right? Because it's perfectly fine in PvE... Seriously it isn't bad and doesn't need a nerf.
-
Ik the neutral game is considered good and all but man does the super suck
-
Edited by Hazuki: 10/5/2020 3:30:24 PMTop tree Nightstalker already has a great neutral game, so I think having a weird super like Shadowshot is justified. The arrow does go a little to the right of wherever the reticle is when aiming, so I guess that should be fixed, but I don't think it needs a buff. If it becomes too powerful it'll be a huge problem in PvP.
-
It does not need buffed, they just need to fix it.

Edited by Sonicsoulder: 10/6/2020 6:37:42 PMI completely agree. I feel like the super is in a very weak position right now and most of the reasoning being that not only is the animation startup super long but the tether trigger time is absolute garbage. You have to hit right on the money with the shots and most of the time people can easily avoid it by sidestepping last second and in the time it takes for you to land you’re already dead from them just shooting you with any primary under the sun. I recently went back to Destiny 1 to see if it was just me that the super is this bad, to my not-so-surprise it was perfectly fine because the arrow velocity works to kill supers and people alike, and the animation in Destiny 2 does do the strange thing where when you fire it it seems like instead of coming out of the bow it comes out way on top of your head. If anyone here were to go back and play night stalker in destiny 1 and just fire 1 single arrow from that super they will immediately see the dumpster fire that is Destiny 2 night stalker.
-
Super night stalker main here, absolutely not. Not meant to be a panic super, but a tactical use.
-
I like how the game pushes your reticle to the right when you fire it, so even if you are pointing directly at your target, you will likely miss. That's extremely frustrating. Nothing better than missing because the game decides it wants you to.

You do realize that that sub-class was designed for PVE play....as a SUPPORT sub-class?? The other two were designed for PVP.
-
Hell no
-
Imagine thinking hunters need more buffs lmao
-
Nope, a lot of us find it annoying in pvp and would prefer not having to deal invisible-wormhusk-hunters who Teather the living super out of you. So no, that’s the last super we need buffed. But maybe the sentinel Titan could use a buff.
-
it'd be great if it waited for about 3 enemies to come into range before triggering, that way you could actually use it as a trap
-
It could use an activation buff to the actual super. Faster casting so it’s more of a suppressing cancelling super then a trap that hardly works.
-
Edited by Dante: 10/4/2020 9:24:11 PMmake it tether ppls on the way it travels so you can atlast cancel someones super when hes charging at you
-
Pls not, it's fine as it is. Sure the super isn't the best but the neutral game with infinite invisibility is just crazy.
-
NOOOOO!
-
I normally set it in a weird place and lure enemy supers towards me to trigger it. I like how it works.
-
What I think really needs to happen is have the tether arrow adjusted so that it automatically produces a tethering field that turns off supers even if it passes by a popped roamer and the like instead of having to wait for it to connect to a surface and then trigger its tethering. It’s dumb that top tree tether is revolved around “trapping” yet when you have it pre-anchored waiting for someone to pass by and trigger it’s blatantly obvious for the enemy team that it’s there to begin with.
-
I feel like it should shoot 3 tethers at the same time similar to shatter on Nova Bomb from D1. That or change the Super to fire a massive void fishing net, the type of fishing net ships use to capture 500 tons of Sardines
-
Never really noticed this. It's definitely not a panic super, but more of a well-timed/big-payoff super. Even in PvP I've had good luck with it when used in the correct circumstances (i.e. observing radar, firing around corners to capture unsuspecting groups...combining with grenade launcher with high handling for quicker weapon engagement).
