I sure did.” Giant stretches his hands wide. “As such, I’ve had to make a few changes, most importantly I’ve decided to open the tournament to [i][b]Everybody![/i][/b] All who wish to test their mettle and seek rewards are welcome! Of course, those new here must fill out the form that was given to the previous combatants. Given name, level of Constitution, Agility, Strength, same as last time. Those who took part in the last challenge, take note of which gems you received and how many you have. It will become important later. Now, let us begin!” He claps his hands, and a weapon rack rises from the ground beside the platform. The previous challengers take out their chosen weapons, while the new ones each choose one of their own. “Remember,” Giant informs the rookies, “only one weapon, and choose wisely, as this is the only weapon you will use for the rest of the tournament.” He gives everyone a quick look over, flashes a smile of approval, and snaps his hands, signaling the active hologram that transforms the arena. “One more thing,” he adds, the surroundings flickering, “no magic or abilities. They tend to make a mess of things. Enjoy yourselves! Haha!” His laughter echoes off the arena walls as the scene around the challengers dissolves into something new... ——————————————————— You find yourself in a vast desert, the only landmark in sight being a towering pillar of sandstone, with a large triangular doorframe in the center. You hear Giant over the comms. “Often in battle you must decide give it your all. Push forward, with as much strength as you can muster, like the spear thrusting into your enemy.
