Young Ahamkara's Spine is one of my favorite Gunslinger exotics, but recently I discovered a minor bug. There is a secret perk on this exotic not mentioned in the description. Normally, tripmines damage the guardian after detonation. But with these exotic gauntlets equipped, they will NOT damage the guardian. Great for throwing a tripmine right into a close enemy or throwing against a surface and not having to worry about it blowing you up later on. So, with these exotics equipped, throwing the tripmine against a surface, then dying, and respawning, the tripmine can now damage you. You will not activate it of course by moving in front of it, but when it detonates either by time, enemy or being shot, it will damage the guardian who threw it. This only happens after the hunter has respawned so it doesn't happen to often but I did successfully kill myself while in a lost sector today due to it. And I'm sure it might be a bigger deal in Crucible.
