The logic is just idiotic and there are times when something gets in my face that I need dead pronto but instead I end up yeeting my own atoms into the void. I get that you want something to have a draw back but last I checked, no other projectile super has such a draw back. Do you see Daybreak Projectiles or Hammers melting users?
Even lore wise this is stupid. Light is a part of our Guardians body. Nova Warp literally detonates Void blasts at point blank. Killing myself with my own Nova Bomb is like...wanking and blowing my head off with my own load! It's already embarrassing enough that I wear dresses but its year 7 and my purple snot is still killing me. So, Bungie...Why is my purple snot killing me?

No super should damage the user.
-
Yeah it’s pretty silly. Been silly since D1.
-
Just remove scrublocks period.
-
100% agree with you, it’s freakin stupid to be damaged by your own super!!!!
-
Yup. Bump

Blade Barrage self-damages. I don't know how many times I've used it near a ceiling and having a few of the blades stick to it and kill me.
-
Yeah this also annoys me, shouldn't happen.
Light is a part of our Guardians body
And so is the body of the opponents you blow up, so what's the point? It's a handheld nuke, it makes sense that you blow up yourself too if it detonates right in front of your face.
