1 = most negative (you hated it, found it boring, weren't satisfied at all)
6 = most positive (you loved it, had great fun, were overall satisfied)
Now that the SoH 2020 event is almost over, how do you rate it on a scale of 1 to 6?
Was the grind too much? Was a certain part of the armor completion steps too difficult, annoying?
What would you change for the next SoH event?
Vote or get boss stomped off the map

Aside from it being an exact repeat of last year’s, Solstice 2020 is bad in a sense that it’s not as rewarding as it should be. You can earn keys from just about every damned activity in the game, but chests? The ones that have a chance at dropping the event armor? Gotta run the EAZ and hope that the chests that you get for knocking out bosses there might give you the actual solstice chests you wanted and not just more damned keys. Oh and hey, just in case if you needed more of those keys that are already spilling out of your pockets good old Eva will be more than happy to give them away in her bounties. Oh, but no Solstice Chests here, my dear. Anyway, ended event with a surplus of over a few k’s worth of keys, but the one saving grace is that you do have a substantially high chance of getting Maste-uhh, I mean Enhancement Cores.

This event was okay nothing special, running through the EAZ does get boring after a while. The worst thing though is the loot, 1. Chest should only contain solstice packages not keys, I'm sick of a run where more than half of the chests I open contain keys! 2. The solstice package Itself should not contain rare (blue gear), the loot pool in it is already diluted enough with other legendary (purple) gear and weapons which makes trying to get well rolled solstice armour a chore. Just wanted to get those points off my chest.

To hard for players that could only be on once a week but, I had fun when I could play only increased the armour by one tank though 4stars

Edited by Nox Lumina: 9/8/2020 1:23:17 PMUnremarkable, unexciting, repetitive... Ornament set slaps hot ass though, so I'll give it a 3. What I would change... Make it 14 trials wins next time, it's gonna be funnier trust me.

It doesn't matter what we think. They'll ignore our feedback. I'm sure they sold a few things from the store and that's what matters.
-
Just "eh" tbh. Not really appealing, but not terrible either

Edited by Fate: 9/6/2020 3:51:27 PMA zero to be honest the event was a joke Events are supposed to be fun and not be a frickin grind Honestly if I wanted to mindlessly grind crap I would go play call of duty ;) Seriously though enough with grindy events Give us a event storyline to play through instead or something It was one of the most unimaginative garbage events I have ever seen
-
Could have at least added a new boss encounter or 2. It being exactly the same with the package drop rates being just as crap made it so stale that I just stopped caring about it and left the event alone. The celebration also sucked because it's the same effects as last year with nothing different. Not that they had to be different, but I'm pretty sure our eververse money doesn't go towards anything at this point besides more stuff for us to buy. Cant wait for festival of the lost to be a copy and paste too.

I gave it a 1. 1-Crap stat armour that l’ll never wear and basically only 1 in every 5 packages opened gives an armour piece with you guessed it, crap base stats. 2-The adds in the EAZ are way too tanky making it so you avoid them as you hunt the majors. 3-The search for chests timer is a joke given the size of the area. It should be extended by at least 2 minutes. 4-really dumb bounties from Grandma. Open a chest wearing the subclass of the day. Okay. That requires thumbs. 5-Hooray, let’s play Trials! Said No-one ever. Overall this event mirrors last year. Last year was a fail and so was this one.
-
Two, only because the armor does look decent. The event itself is horrible.

I didn't like the grind, way too many Soltice packages you got from running the EAZ were crappy blue items, and the 'powerful' rewards from Eva were crap. But.... ...I like how most of the armor looks, and man did I ever get some sweet high stat rolls on the Soltice armor pieces that I finally got. For example, I have a chest piece for my Warlock that was 68 with the stats in all the areas I like, like recovery and intelligence. That and some other pieces are now my prime armor pieces for each of my three guardians. And even though they cost 6000 bright dust each, the universal ornaments are nice to have. Overall, for me, it seemed like a poorly delivered event with some acceptable results regardless.

Edited by twirlypen: 9/6/2020 6:43:30 PMPackage farming is about the only good thing. The rest is an actual copy/paste from last year. Exact same spawn patterns. The blocked off cat statue area was still unused. Same incorrect armor requirements. New broken mislabeled bounties. False advertising on the armor glows. Forcing trials knowing full well how broken it has been since release. Easiest 1/10 or 1/6 vote I've ever cast. Too bad 0 wasn't an option.

2, i finished my Titan up to magnificent almost right away, then just lost interest entirely

Id say 4... Its what I was expecting. I wasn’t expecting anything major like a whole new area or quest. Nor was I expecting a BRAND NEW armor set. Why wasn’t I expecting this stuff? Because its a yearly event and typically yearly events stay the same... this wasn’t Bungie’s laziness. It was nice to have something to do... FINALLY. Even if that something to do was the same stuff Ive been doing weekly.
