It is I, Sylver! I am a quasi-lurker, and am obsessed with documentation. I come to present to you the information and numerical values I plan on introducing for the Offtopic page of the Offtopic Wiki.
Please tell me if you have any issues with the presented information. I cannot please everyone, but I would like to do as best I can.
Offtopic's calendar would align closely with Earth's, bearing a 12-month year and 365 days. This is primarily so that people can reference standard-time such as months, days and hours and have them be consistently accurate.
I plan on stating the current year to be 644 PRF (Post-Republic Formation). This would mean that Offtopic's current main civilization, governed by the Presidency, was formed 644 years ago.
The planet would be called Offtopic Prime, which I've already user to refer to Offtopic's planet previously. It would have a circumference of about 55,000 kilometers (for reference, Earth's circumference is about 25,000), and a heavily varying geography. 56% of the planet would be covered in water (compared to Earth's 71%).
Lore would hold that certain anomalous properties of Offtopic display incredible fate-altering abilities which attract significant individuals. Magic would be heavily present throughout the planet, providing easy access to clean energy for many of the more technological users' endeavors.
I think I've covered everything relevant. Please provide any issues or imput.

I’d personally add that portals from other universes occasionally just drop things, which helps explain how there’s so much diversity in the weaponry and armor we have.
Hecking Spitfires
Are you going to include peoples characters as pieces of the lore?
-
So, just checking, this won't be actual cannon right? Because this conflicts with a lot that's happened in our history.

Honestly, I would refrain from having lore posted on there unless the person who made their piece of lore decides to add it in. For example, since Nil isn’t planning on adding anything to it, The Apocalypse, which is mainly her creation, should not be added into the wiki, even though it was a significant event. The main problem I see with adding lore is misinterpretation and disagreements of how it all goes down and coincides with each other. If a person wants to add in a story or organization that they made, that would be fine as long as they don’t add information that coincides with another story or organization from another creator without their approval. I do like the idea of recording OffTopic and it’s history. As Aifos said, OT is a wonderful mess that we made and it would be a shame if all of it was to be forgotten as we age. But a mess is a mess. It’s hard to organize, especially if it involves several other strangers online.
Fades Away
A wiki isn’t going to work for the RP. Wikis only work for things with canon that’s set-in-stone, which isn’t the case for the RP. It’s either going to wind up as: A. One person’s interpretation of things. B. A horrible mishmash of contradicting ideas. Both cases will wind up as horribly inaccurate. Let the RP’s history, and lore specifics be vague; that’s part of the appeal. Lets everyone participate as they see fit, without having to consign themselves to some arbitrary rules.

OffTopic is so chaotic I don’t know the best way to describe it. Some say it’s a planet, others believe it’s a sentient entity consuming planes and life as it travels through the cosmos. A bunch of people use spaceships though, so I think the planet is the best option(and perhaps it’s the entity’s disguise!)
