We've all had problems with getting doubles or triples when for example farming pinnacles and that's to be expected... But i just did 5 weekly pinnacle drops (Crucible, Strikes, Gambit, Means to an end and the clan xp thing from Hawthorne) and i literally got 5 kinetic weapons back to back when it just so happened that kinetic was already the one piece of gear i had at 1060 light level. I did the math on that and if the drops were 100% random there would be a 0.003% chance of that happening. I get that you can't just give everyone exactly what they want straight away because that would disincentivise players from doing much grinding at all. However, this is legitimately ridiculous. Literally 0 actual reward from hours of farming. This kind of setup for how drops work is disincentivising players from even trying to grind for pinnacles. I know it's not just me with this problem too, because you can find countless posts about it on boards and forums. There needs to be some changes made to how the RNG works in destiny 2. The ratio between hours spent and rewards gained is beyond merciless and unreasonable in the current sandbox.

Agreed. I am just burnt out on this process. It makes the game miserable for me.
