Have a good evening, sir.” [i]I straightened my robes, waved to the shipmate-only a wee lad at that-and looked back over the rail. It was a choppy, rough sea that night, with a full moon illuminating only the surface of those hidden depths I now needed. In truth, the waves had picked up, and I narrowly grasped the railing as I was flung to the waves below. Age does harsh things to one's bones and sinews, as I was learning first hand.[/i] [i]I glanced around to make sure I was alone, and waited patiently at the rail for my servant. This was a large cruise ship, sure, but Sirius could not ignore my summons. She was tied to me as much as I was tied to her, I thought. How curious…[/i] [i]My pondering was broken as the waves parted below, and a silvery trident came into view. Bubbling up in a column of water, she arrived, crowned by a suit of phantom armor, worn by the waves themselves. Splashing sea foam onto my robe, Sirius bowed. [/i] “All preparations are complete, master. When do you wish the Elder to wake?” “At dawn,” I said, with a dry voice and a wet brow. “Very well, I shall await the sunrise.” [i]She began to sink, but stopped.[/i] “Master?” “Yes, Sirius?” “It is nothing, I just…” “Well, out with it.” “I… I want you to sleep well. I’ll do my best, and… and I’m honored to spearhead your cataclysm,” she said, in an uncommon display of emotion. “Thank you, Sirius. Now go in the name of vengeance, and await the dawn. Your freedom is close at hand.” [i]With a bubbling that sounded almost like gleeful laughing, she disappeared into the waves. I cocked a smile, and looked out across the bay towards the city. As it grew ever smaller in the evening light, my grin grew wider.[/i] “The bell tolls for justice, OffTopic. And I am very, very eager to see you pay.” [spoiler]Ah, haven't done one of these public rps in a while. I'm hoping to have the first RP up tomorrow, expect a variety of combatants so that no matter your power/skill level, you'll have an even challenge.
