A bug has flown under the radar since the release of Astrocyte Verse in season 7. If you put on the Astrocyte Verse Exotic helmet and blink while moving in a particular speed, jump height on activation or some other factor(s) that is hard to pin down it will send you hurling toward the ground dealing MASSIVE DAMAGE enough to deal 75% - 90% of your health in one jump This is a huge issue in pvp for anyone using this exotic, one reason I main blink is because I enjoy its uniqueness, speed and bamboozling plays. I don’t want to have to change the way I play the game because of persistent bugs. The problem is frustrating when getting eliminated from a comp round for trying to blink evade (even after I've escaped fire with minimal damage but still enough to die to the bug). This happens consistently inside smoke grenades and “slowing” AOE abilities in pve I have videos of this linked below. I also came across a Reddit post detailing this exact problem from a year ago. A user called CrazedFirebaIl has done a bunch of testing on the subject. I've linked a video of his along with the post, it's well worth a read if this affects you. CrazedFirebaIls tests show that the problem is replicable. CrazedFirebaIl: "From what I can tell, blinking upwards leaves you with one other blink charge and using this mid-air sends you back down to the ground without harm. This bug only seems to happen when not moving very fast, or at the least when moving slower than sprint speed. If you jump and then activate your blink at a point lower than your original starting point, it thrusts you downwards with immense speed and breaks your ankles, dealing insane damage."
