[i]We see our intrepid hero Captain Kelp walking back to the Ramen shop after a long day, but when he arrives instead of his friend he finds a note. After reading the note he leaves enraged and goes searching for his lost friend. He finds a clue to his whereabouts in the note by the man who signed it, a Professor Owl. Whoever this madman is He will bring him to justice![/i] Kelp manages to track this Professor Owl to a small building, he sneaks inside and searches for clues. He finds instead of a clue, a door. Now, back to your regularly scheduled program.[/quote] We rejoin Kelp as he enters the villains lair, he sneaks past several armed guards deeper and he can hear something up ahead. He stops to listen and it’s his good friend Ramen Man! He sounds like he’s in trouble, Kelp hurries into the room to find a recording of Ramen Man instead! As he enters the door slams shut behind him and the lights all turn on, and he sees the villainous Professor Owl standing there laughing! “Mwahahaha! You fool, did you think you could save your friend? You’re too late! I’ve already turned him into a monster, and I give you a choice: Kill him, or be killed by him. Though I wonder if you’ll recognise him. Mwahahahhaha!” And with that the evil Professor vanished leaving Kelp alone in the room, but a door on the other side has opened revealing the face of a friend, but friendly no more as his body is mangled and full of a pulsing dark energy! Ramen Man attack’s Kelp, but Kelp dodges and tries to reason with his old friend. “I know you’re in there! You don’t have to do this, there’s a better way!” But it’s to no avail as Ramen Man continues to attack! And as he does so soldiers come in and prepare to shoot Kelp! It seems our brave hero is doomed to fail... [quote]Ad Break: Hey you, Yeah you. You want to make some friends? Want to chat with strangers? Be sure to support your local bar and brothel association and Vote Owl for your next Senator.[/quote] Surrounded on all sides by once friends and faceless enemies it looks like Kelp won’t escape! And as the soldiers open fire it seems his fate is sealed! But, when the firing stops, Kelp still stands! How?! It’s because his old friend Ramen Man has broken the spell Professor Owl used on him and has sacrificed himself to save his friend! Seeing his best friend fall Kelp enters a rage and begins using his powers, water and lightning swirling around him, killing all the soldiers and the base alarm begins to ring, it seems that the self destruct has been activated! Running through the labyrinthian lair holding his dying friend Kelp makes it outside just in time as the lair explodes! He sets his friend down and struggles to find the words to say, but Ramen Man cuts him off, saying: “I’m not gonna make it, but you can stop him. He’s going to destroy all of Offtopic if you don’t. Do it... for all of us...” Screaming in fury and sadness Kelp vows revenge against the Evil and Villainous Professor Owl! Will our hero find the dastardly villain? Will he avenge his oldest of friends? Find out next week on the Adventures Of Captain Kelp!
