I just want to share this gold video from Aztecross. I'm 100% with Aztecross right in the minute 7:47 - The sad part of this is that bungie Don't listen.
I check everyday the forum, The Destiny Forum on Bungie website and I don't see any participation from any of the people from Bungie in their own forum.
Is like they don't care or maybe they are afraid of the players or they really lose the track on the game already.
This is just my opinion, I know a lot of people think different and I respect that. I love the game but lately I rarely play the game like I use to do before because I'm tired of doing the same thing over and over again.
*edit:
My intention is not to promoting any video from Aztecross. I just post this because like him I'm a player of the game and I share a lot of his thoughts in the video.

Aztecross is the only Destiny YT that I watch these days as he is truthful and entertaining - not like most of the other YT suckholes who would blowbang Bungo even if they hadn't showered in 4 months. Aztec is passionate and most of the critical videos are justified, and like me it is frustrating that this game has and never will live up to its potential. Unfortunately Bungo aren't interested in player feedback, it is all about squeezing the juice from the dwindling player base which is why Eververse got a massive upgrade a while back and they significantly depleted our ability to earn bright dust and in game vanity items. I'm really hoping that the sales for Beyond Light suffer because of Cyberpunk, I know a few like me who won't be getting Beyond Light at this stage (if ever).

Streamer bad! Streamer bad! Streamer bad! Wait... Streamer good! Streamer good! Streamer good!

Bungie just doesnt care namely luke smith is to focused on trying to make destiny like wow with infinite grind but no actual reward. When he took over is when this game went down hill.
-
The last couple of seasons he's been kissing Bungie's ass. He also doesn't like sbmm because it's "too sweaty". I mean, in sbmm you could lay back and relax and within a few games you'll be downgraded into a lower bracket, but that's not really the issue, is it? The issue is they want those easy games so they can look cool and get subscribers. The truth is he's good enough to hang with any bracket... he's just getting tired of trying and he doesn't care if the majority of players suffer so he can have fun. But no, sunsetting in no way balances anything except eventually Trials and IB once op weapons get sunsetted. Regular pvp will still always be dominated by Bygones and Mountaintop. Considering the new weapons are every bit as op as the old, I'm not sure how anyone believes it's for balance.
-
Everyone has said this, just because a Youtubers says it, it doesn't automatically become the norm.

Edited by Harp3v: 8/18/2020 6:20:41 PMI'm tired of all the people pointing to content creators videos as their feedback. *This YouTuber/Streamer says this! Listen to them bungie, even if they're only incentive for the game to get better is so people will watch them and they can make money!* Give your own personal feedback and opinion, don't just point to someone who has some popularity and agree with them. Also, I'm reporting for advertising. Oh wait, I can't, because bungie is in -blam!-ing French and I can't read the options.

This game sucks right now, yes. But dont get it twisted. The only thing tubers care about is their income.

Is the dirty socks lady still Sandbox lead? Remember the dirty socks stream she said “ I’m feeling lazy today” well... seems like she’s feeling lazy, everyday!

Edited by The 7th fall: 8/19/2020 6:06:20 PMAs much as I like the guy he's bloody late to the party. At first he was somewhat for sunsetting our gear but after so much complaint, analytics and breaking down just how lame of an excuse for Bungie to do this in the name of "power creep" was... that's when he started joining our lot. It's nice he agrees with a lot of us but it wasn't until it was a popular subject he added his input, same goes for Mtashed. P.S. - I really loved using Mountaintop in PvE -could care less for PvP-... so sad that probably the most unique pinnacle weapon will get sunsetted in the name of "power creep".
-
I love aztecross I agree with a lot of his points but if the players controlled the sandbox it would just be a bunch of arrows going in a 1000 different directions.
-
It does chap my ass sometimes to know how great this game could really be but they keep selling it short.
-
He's completely misguided on this issue. Like a lot of other people, he's bought into the Bungie narrative that the purpose of sunsetting is to bring "balance" to weapons or to "rein in" power. Sunsetting has as much to do with balancing the sandbox as an Allen Wrench does to a Gerbil. Bungie has balanced (buffed and nerfed) weapons before sunsetting, and they will continue to balance weapons after sunsetting. The fact that anything is OP in the game speaks more to Bungie's design sensibility (or lack thereof) than anything else. Let's use the two examples he mentions in the video: Revoker and Mountaintop. After the "great panacea" of sunsetting has come to pass, we'll still have droves of Revoker and Mountaintop users in Crucible. Why? Because sunsetting changes absolutely nothing in the vast majority of PvP. TL;DR Sunsetting is not "balancing", you've been sold a bill of goods.
-
Honestly, I could care less about crucible anymore. It was originally just a tack on mode to test new guns and good off with your friends (D1 Y1). Then people decided to take it seriously, don't ask me why. Now the entire game is held back by it. It was never intended to be this important. And before you attack me, I have unbroken and flawless titles, so don't try to whinesplain pvp to me. There are plenty of other pvp shooters to play, almost all of them superior to this one, just go play those.

Right off the bat.. "It's become more annoying now that more ppl have it, since it's easier to get." Soo.. back when THEY had it, that was ok. Back then it was all montages about 40k streaks and solo raid boss melts or some nonsense. But now... now these are an issue? Please.. it's the same song and dance. Great for them.. bad for us.
-
Edited by SolarCerberuS: 8/19/2020 4:04:57 AMI don't understand why people think the sunsetting is to balance anything. Sunsetting itself won't rebalance at all..... but depending on what changes/nerfs/buffs to weapons and mods happens at the same time of the sunsetting then those changes likely will. I personally believe there will be changes made to weapon classes across the board for beyond light and It may hide behind the sunsetting as it would be the perfect time for a rebalance esp for ninja nerfs that will no doubt occur. Sunsetting imo anyway is happening for one reason alone and that is so that players have to start fresh, grind for new (or reintroduced) gear and then regrind for god rolls. It's merely just an artificial way to get players (or at least the dedicated player base) to play, aka grind more. Sure the side effects of sunsetting may sway what people use more initially but once players start to identify and collect the new meta weapons It will all settle back into place until the next sunset then rinse/repeat.
-
That's because the bungie forums are a toxic hate filled cry fest and has an extremely small player base represented. The Destiny forums on reddit is massive and much more intelligent, thoughtful and less negative and toxic.
-
It's for pve though. Sunsetting for pvp doesn't really make any sense considering in 99% of pvp content power level is irrelevant
-
Edited by CookieNiki: 8/19/2020 1:23:38 PMThe voice of that guy and the way he talks is -blam!-ing annoying. I can barely watch a full video of him. And he's fully biased in what he says about mountaintop in his video.
-
[- The sad part of this is that bungie Don't listen. .
Mountaintop quest got NERFED because bungie listened to people who complained about the grind to get it.

MT is the biggest problem in the game currently. Uncounterable and infinite pressure on anyone not using it.

Oh Mountaintop, my beloved Mountaintop. This crime against you will never be forgotten nor forgiven.

If this was my Game,My Fourms, type of Insulting Members.....I wouldn't Reply. You all took over these Fourms with your Toxicity and Abuse. I don't blame them for not responding. There is also a Saying. Giving no Answer is an Answer. They got nothing to say. But no you all Demand an answer, 5 seconds later "F you Bungie".

funny how the forums are at the throats of content creators 99% of the time, but kiss the ground they walk on whenever they agree with anything the vocal majority has to say
